We have built a great football team in Houston (a bit of praise)!!!

Not only are we winning games, but we look GOOD when we win them. I mean, what team has been more fun to watch? OK, there may be a couple (I think only KC is more fun to watch)... But we are just flat out FUN to watch. You've got Carr moving around the backfield looking for open recievers, AJ and the rest of the gang making big catches, and a 3-4 D that's playing great. Even DD is really fun to watch despite his subpar season. Looking at our team, I think we've got something really special brewing here and I feel pretty lucky that it's going on in my hometown. Even looking at our rookie season, we knew that we were a team that desperately wanted to win. And once we got AJ and DD in our 2nd season, that was pretty darn spanky!

I feel very fortunate that Houston is not in the same situations as other teams in the NFL. Who knows how long it will take the 49ers to get back into contendorship? Oakland (one of my favorite teams) and their head coach don't look like they've got a blueprint to get back to contendorship either. The Cardinals and Bears are looking very slow as well. Year in and year out, they are constantly looking for people to fill in holes for them, and who knows how long it will take for them to get to the playoffs. They look like they are steadily improving, but they are moving at a snail's pace. It cannot take you more than 5 years to build a good fooball team, and here are the Texans that are playoff contendors AFTER JUST 3 YEARS OF EXPANTION! :headbang:

In the end, I just want to say THANK YOU! Thanks for bringing a football team back to Houston, thanks for the great ownership and coaching, and thanks for putting together a great looking team. When I look at our roster, "Lucky" is the only thing I can think about. To get these quality players on our roster on both sides of the ball after 3 years is simply stunning. For 3 years in a row, our 1st round draft picks have played up to or even exceeded all expectations. This is not counting some diamonds in the rough like DD and Peek. We've also avoided injuried that would have seriously impeded on our young players not getting enough expirience. It is just amazing what this orginization has done in just 3 years.

Yeah we did and it didn't take long at all... We got some great first rounds in first three years of this teams history... they will be the corner stones and now we can just sit back and watch them mold into a soild team...Such a fun team to watch for a young team..

i dont care about the rankings they can say what they want about us, but were proving to the world we are a force to be reckoned with !

Like the rest of the team said...There is still alot of work to be done.

But I have to say I have enjoyed the past 5-6 weeks. Here's hoping for some more wins in a row.

The Texans make me proud to live in this great state!!! (Woah that sounded way cheesy!!!! lol But its true!!)

No 83, it does not sound "cheesy". Sounds like you appreciate what the team, owner and management have done. I agree 100%. I doubt if any Texans read what we say, but if they do... Here's a Texas size thank you! Not only for your efforts on the field but for the wonderful things you folks do for the community. I do realize you go to hospitals, etc that fans may never hear about...but we do appreciate you. Now ride those Denver ponies! HAHAHAHA

I totally agree with you. I lived in Houston for 16 years. Now I'm living in northern California.
I proudly wear my Texan hats and T-shirts. (Not to mention my Texan tattoo) with pride every day.
I have felt from the beginning that this team has that something special that alot of teams will never have. When we beat Dallas, I knew that this team was one of destiny. Even though we are not getting the respect from the media that we deserve, you can bet your butt that the other teams are looking at us with alot of respect. They just don't know how to handle us. If you take away just a few mistakes in the early games this year, we could easily be 7 - 0.
I'm proud to be from Texas. And extremely proud of the Texans. :headbang:

They have a good mix of Vets and and young'ns, which is great because the Rookies or second year players have someone to learn from that has been around a while.

I watched in 1998-99 as Texans owner Bob McNair started putting things together, I heard the name choices and winced at some. When I heard the announcement of The Houston Texans name, I knew could come home to Texas. I was a Carolina Panthers fan from 1995 the inception of the team and knew what a great coach and fine man Dom Capers is. In 2000 I became a Texans fan, you can only imagine grief I took from fans of other teams. Why don't you get a REAL team, was a constant comment in NFL chat rooms. I stood and proudly wore my Texans Hat and T-shirt and made sure Dallas fans knew we were coming for them, that we would be the best team in Texas.

This Group brought a team to Houston and (as a North Texan)...all of Texas that makes you proud to be a Texans fan, You know that they aren't hiring a coach to make them winners or trading draft picks for a player past his prime, they are building a solid foundation that will allow them to contend year after year.

To Bob McNair, Charley Casserly, Office Staff, Dom Capers and Coaching staff, To Texans Cheerleaders and most especially the Texans players.

THANK YOU!!!!

Like U.S. Marines, there are no ex Texans. Just those who had to relocate. Hang with us!

I'd also like to add that our team is really CLASSY IMO! When I think of our team, "classy" is what I think about. We don't have players doing stupid stuff off the field (drugs, violence, ect.), no stupid smack talk (like Keyshawn Johnson or TO for example), none of that negative stuff that makes stupid Sportscenter headlines. All we do is go out and play 100%. Best of all, I really don't think our coaches or managers would stand for that type of behavior no matter how good of a player you are, and I think that's great to see of an orginazation.

I'm sure one of the reasons why people like Carr so much is because he genuinely seems to be a really nice, down to earth guy, and as a person, you want to see him do well and continually improve as an NFL QB.

Sometimes, getting wins comes second to building a solid team with a lot of character and respect that people can get behind and support. Sure you want to get wins, but when you're a team with a lot of class, your fans are going to support you no matter how crappy a season you are having. This is why I'm such a huge fan and hold the Texans in such high regard. It just seems like our team has a lot of character, especially compared to the rest of teams in the NFL. The only teams in the NFL right now that I would consider classy like ours would be the NY Jets and the Patriots (though I don't like the Partiots very much).
