Sorry, didn't mean to keep Carr on there. It was supposed to be all new people. If someone can think of someone else new and replace Carr, that'd be great. Or else, just remove him

Expectations were high for all of those guys, and no one has really delivered too much. Moulds has done well, but not as great as I thought. My expectations for Smith were pretty low going into it, but my disapointment is that much lower. He has done nothing right.

smith. it was said in a post elsewhere that each year we're told our defense is going to be more aggressive, and each year it gets more passive. denver rushes 5+ on almost every down, and sends the house many times throughout the game ... this is what the fans were promised and smith hasnt delivered.

I remeber 1 blitz last week, and it worked. We brought CC, CC got in Brunells face and it was a bad ball that was almost picked off. TOO FUNNY!

Hey Richard Smith nobody will ever lose there jobs for being TOO AGGRESIVE, just ask the Eagles.

My thing is, if a team is going to beat my team, then they are going to have to work for it, that QB is going to have a rough day.

Fresno States DC would be a nice fit here if for some reason Smith does not get his act together. Fire Zones and everything, watch Fresno State blitz when you get a chance.

Mario I expected to be more explosive and just better all around even though he is a rookie
Richard smith I thought would do a at least OKAY job but he has done nothing close to that...
my vote still goes to mario

For now Kubiak...since he hired Richard Smith and I think he made the final decision to go for Mario.

But, who knows..may be by the end of the year, everything will click with the defense and Mario will start performing

Flannagan.....Anchor??? In the Middle???....BWAAAAHAAAAAAAAAHAAAA

I was looking for AJ's name, I know he is one of our bright spots, But for his talent level and experience he has dropped way to many passes. most of them right in the numbers.

Marrio. I'm tempted to say Smith, but we didn't use the first pick in the draft on him. I didn't like Williams before the combine but got caught up in the workout numbers and lost perspective. He hasn't done anything to show he deserved to be drafted on the first day, forget the #1 over all. :challenge

So far he looks more like :shoot: than :fireball:

I said Richard Smith

But you need two polls (one for coaches and one for players) or multiple votes. Because I also would have put one on Kevin Walters. He is getting paid too much money for barely ever seeing the field.

I went with Kubiak. He's the guy in charge who hired Smith and wanted Mario.

This season is the "big test" for Kubiak. He has to bail water out of the Titanic, fix the hole(s), restaff the crew and keep the passenger believing he can do it the whole time.

We shall see...

i voted Flanagan b/c this guy was supposed to solidify the O-line with his veteran leadership & so far he hasn't done much other than get blown off the line, get hurt & botch a couple of snaps. I didn't know too much about Smith to begin with.

Are you kidding? This guy is playing at a pro bowl level right now.

Richard Smith, and Mario Williams get the votes.

yeah replace , carr on poll with the entire defence excluding dunta robinson. He plays with the heart of Ginobili. That is, a heart of a champion. he plays hard on every play.

Defense wins championships. Ie Spurs, Patriots, Ravens, Bears, Pistons. Need i go on.
Defense needs heart. too bad we let him go to the Cowboys. we miss you Aaron.

I had no expectation for most of those guys. Kubiak has exceeded my expectation. He has Carr looking like a NFL QB, showing signs that he maybe OK.

Mike Flannagan is what he is, a former ProBowl center, who has been hurt almost as much as he plays, plus he is on the downside of his career.

Kevin Walter, what did we expect from a 3rd string WR?

Anthony Weaver, has not been the run stopper I was promised, but he is playing out of position, he should be in a 3-4.

Eric Moulds, has added a spark to AJ and Carr, should not even be on this list.

Wali Lundy, what did you expect from a 6th round pick? I thought he would be cut when we drafted him.

Eric Winston, after his senior bowl, I thought he had a long way to go to become an NFL starter, thank god we took Ryans at 33 not Winston like we were projected.

Mario Williams, he is a rookie just 3 games into his career, come on. Give the kid some time.

Richard Smith- My choice, I thought we would see a much more aggressive unit, maybe they will become that.

IMO, Smith. I was expecting, in fact we were told, that we would have a very aggressive defense and to be prepared for giving up some big plays. I was and we aren't aggessive and still giving up big plays.

Have to say Mario also. Only game 3 and lots of time yet, but just not showing the explosivness and will to beat the other guy I would like to see. All the other stuff will come, but he seems a bit to passive for my taste at this point. If he makes some mistakes I could care less as long as he is just flat getting after it. May have to do with the type of defensive scheme they are playing.

Richard Smith.

His defense doesn't seem to know what to do on the field. Maybe he should quit swapping them out every play and moving their positions around so much and just LET THEM DO THEIR JOB. Maybe they would settle in and find a rythm instead of looking so confused all the time.

Oh, and call a REAL blitz every once in a while...... you know..... where you can actually tell it was supposed to be a blitz?

Richard Smith

I actually believed that we would have a defense this year...not necessarily a good one....just having a defense at all would be nice.

Are you kidding? This guy is playing at a pro bowl level right now.

Richard Smith, and Mario Williams get the votes.

I meant to say reletive to his own ability I have been dissapointed in how many passes have hit him right in the chest and he dropped them. Half way through last year it started happening and this year it has happened several times (seems like more that once per game, sorry I could not find stats that show dropped passes) I would not be dissapointed in a running back dropping that many but I expect a veteran pro bowler to be more consistent. Most of them he was standing all by himself before leaving the line of scrimmage.

As for Mario Williams , He is playing like a rookie. I never expect much from a guy's first couple of NFL starts.

I agree about Richard Smith, Not his performance as a coordinator, but he runs away after every game to avoid having to answer any hard questions. Maybee he's not supposed to talk to the press, but at least stand up and take credit for the sorry play calling.

I voted Smith. This defense is terrible. The whole unit looks out of synche, and we make opposing QB'S look like HOF candidate's.

I was on the Mario bandwagon until I saw him get stood up by a TE on Sunday. With all his sheer talent (or so we were told) he should have made a big play on defense by now just by accident. Time will tell I suppose. Carr seems to have improved but I'm don't understand his knack for fumbling the snap at least once a game. I don't see other QB's around the league doing it as much as he does. He still looks like a deer in the headlights when he's over center.
