Texans New World

Texian

Hall of Fame
In a new world under the Reliant Stadium roof the Houston Texans will embark on a 2-6 start. Just when you reach the point were you can't listen to the radio or watch another sports program or read another newspaper because of all the whining and hating, a new wind will start to blow. The Texans will change course as they all become familiar with each other, the coaches, the players, the systems and the playbook. Leaders will emerge. They make fewer mistakes. The five starting rookies will play like veterans. The Texans win tough games on the road. The Texans pound out 150 yards on the ground and close to 300 yards in the air. They finish the second half of the season with 6 more wins. Fans are elated with the new play of the Texans. The whiners and haters subside to a minimal nuisance. Optimism abounds for 2007 with the successes from the last half of the season.

GEICO
I thought my truck was totaled. Geico said they could get it fixed but I didn't believe them. I was amazed at how well it ran and it even looked better after they fixed it.

I would not normally concur with the sentiment surrounding blowing of winds and Geico, but I am aboard on what you are saying. 2007 is the year of the Texan and 2006 is part of that great journey.

I can get my homer on with the best of them, but I say this as a confident homer.

Hallelujah!!!! I totally agree. If that makes me a "Homer" than bring it on, I would LOVE to be a homer. More of one than I already am.

I BELIEVE!!! Let's give it a chance to work!!!! Kubiak and Co. will succeed!!!

Easy on the "!!!" there...it makes sense that we get better as the season goes on, after all 5 straight games against winning teams to start the season is no small task. It gets considerably easier, which is why and win in these first 5 is a bonus.

I kind of like having the first quarter of the season being as tough as it is. Not only do we have the stiff competition to improve against. We're also going to see how this team reacts to possibly being beat on. It'll be an excellent test of the endurance of this team. Will they continue to improve or will they give up like last year? We'll see.

I agree, and will be patient. That said, its still going to be tough watching them get killed the first 5 games or so

Until the guys get the pass coverage thing fixed, we may be in for some tough times. And that may have to wait till next year. I still think we will be getting much more competitive the second half of the year when the schedule eases up a bit and the team gets more used to each other. 2006 could still be a good year, but IMO 2007 will be a great year!

I just saved ALL of my money on car insurance by switching to NIKE.

Good post:ok:
I figure we will struggle the first half of the season, but I don't think we'll be blown out-just going through growing pains. Personally, I am looking for a strong December, but I'll take 6-2 the 2nd half.:yahoo:

Now if we can just get ESPN to listen to us.............:redtowel:

1 or 2 in the first 8 games, then 3 or 4 in the last 8 games. Making us a 4-12 or 6-10. You take yor pick! One bright spot is even if we do go 4-12 we are better x 2 than last year...lol
