Who will the Texans beat for Kubiaks 1st win?
Colts, Redskins, Dolphins, Cowboys, Jags, Titans, Giants, Bills,

I say week 3 at home against the redskins.

you said we'd win week 1 as well... :shades:

Skins. Home game. Their offense seems questionable. If we can take the lead early we should have it in the bag. Brunell is not a comeback QB.

I say we keep freeney and the others off of carr but dont think we will touch geyton oops.. peyton this week. we lose a close one but i think we will get our first win against the skins.

I say we play the Colts tough, but we aren't able to play the Colts at 100% every play. We are too young and inexperienced playing together to hold it all together for 4qtrs in their house.

This Redskins game could really be where we turn this season around. I think winning this one gives us a chance at with Miami then @Dallas. Maybe I'm looking too far ahead, but I feel that wins carry over into the next game the same way losses do.

I'm not messin' with voodoo right now, so I don't want to jinx the team [in my mind] with my bad attitude. Last Sunday gave me little to believe that this team is much better than last year's team, so I'm going to give it a couple of more games to see if they can rebound from this loss and make adjustments accordingly.

Otherwise, I'm likely to pick a win many weeks from now.

I hate to say it, but I think it's gonna be the Titans game.

There's a pretty good chance that some of those teams are gonna be having problems by the time they play us. I'm hoping that will be the case for the Cowboys game.

I'm just hoping to see improvement every week at this point.

I'm going with the Titans unless the Texans put up a really good fight against the Colts. If they lose to the Redskins it will be the Titans before the first victory. If they lose to the Redskins their record will most likely 5-11 but as low as 4-12. Ouch.

I would like for the Texans to get their first win from the Skins/Fins. After that, they hit the road against some tough teams, so it could be another month or two before they get a win (Titans? Jets?). However, I don't think they will have to wait as long as the 1977 Buccaneers, who didn't get a win until the 13th week.

Redskins, Titans, Bills, Raiders, Titans, Browns. With a possible Miami and Jets. Boy would that be nice, uh? :redtowel:

My pick for our first win will be against the 'Underachieving' Redskins who have looked downright pitiful so far this year [including Preseason].

Overall I think we will rebound well this week, but wont have enough things with the 'Team' put all together for 4 quarters yet to beat the Colts this early in the season. IMO were still coming together as a team and it will take a few games for us to get a good rhythm on both sides of the bal. Not to mention time for everyone to get a good feel for how everyone else plays on the team and what our strengths are on the field come gameday's. I think we will split with the Colts this year though and I'm picking the 'Texans' to finally beat the Colts the day before my B-day [12-24] and play spoiler this year.

I've spent two days convincing myself that it was possible for the Texans to beat the Colts this weekend. The Colts haven't been able to get a running game going yet this year, preseason or regular season. Their defense got a little softer in free agency, and our OL is looking a LOT better. You can quote 5 sacks at me all you want, but that was mostly blitz pickup (or lack thereof) and Indy's a Cover 2 team - whereas Philly is almost synonomous with the blitz. Psychologically speaking, Indy's likely to be looking at this as a down game, and we're likely (assuming Kubiak is a decent motivator) going to be ticked off with our performance last week and be looking to shine.

Mario gets his first sack. Peek gets another. Sanders drops another pair of INTs. Lundy + Morency combine for 150+ on the ground. Carr gets sacked twice and puts together a 4th quarter drive to steal the win, triggering a city-wide defibrillator crisis.

Calling Colts too...I wish I knew which way Berman was going because when I bet I used to always go against the Swamey.

I'd love for it to be the Colts, but I picked the Redskins game instead. I just can't imagine that the Texans will improve that much this week.
