Same Old Defense

secondary can't cover anybody and they still can't pressure the quarterback

Mario is to big to slow to burst past the offensive lineman.

Someone tell Babin there was a game today, What a BUST.

Offense still a joke

CArr still taking losses rather then throwing the ball away. Someone slap him. He just doesn't have the pocket presence, poise necessary to succeed in this league..

OLine still can't pass protection

Running game :sos:

Wide outs :thumbup

1. You give any receiver 7 seconds to get open, they will get open

2. Babin was one of the few D-Lineman getting pressure on the plays he was in *at LDE too, I'm not sure if it was strong side during the plays he was in, someone who recorded the game please check that*

3. Our offense flipped from last year. Good passing, terrible rushing

4. Carr is showing improvement and had a good game. (One of the brightspots in our offense this game) The first game we saw him with actual poise. Check other threads about the sacks and Carr, debated more in depth (and detail instead of just saying "He sucks cuz I say so")over there.

5. O-line was decent at protecting this game, it was the blitz packages and missed blocks by the RBs and TEs that led to the sacks. However, they didn't perform in the run like they did last year.

Texans looked today alot better than last year, it's only the first game, give Kubiak a chance, this is a new system he is trying to put in place, it takes time.......

The results were certainly the same. You give anyone that much time to find a target and they're going to light you up. We didnt' put any pressure on McNabb today so his receivers got open and he found them. No pressure makes a secondary look bad. It makes our average secondary look downright terrible.

The junk about Mario being too big and too slow is just stupid. I can't believe you wrote that. Mario isn't too big and he isn't too slow. He's too inexperienced but there's not a lot you can do about that other than putting him in the game and getting him some experience.

I don't think you even know who Babin is. He played a pretty decent game when he was in there so I'm not sure who you're talking about.

The offense didn't get it done after the first quarter but Carr played a heck of a game. Again you do know which one of the guys in white (we were wearing white today) is David Carr right? #8?

For the first time in a long time I can't point to David Carr and say "This guy just came up short" and that's both confusing and refreshing to me. I guess you've just been doing it (blaming Carr) so long you didn't want to change your answer. One line after you blame him though you say that the offensive line still can't protect (They sure didn't do it today) so which one is it going to be?

The running game was MIA and you people all should know what happens when you can't run the football. The defense pins it's ears back and comes after your QB. We should all understand this by now since we've watched 4 straight years of it. I don't understand the confusion.

Wali Lundy is a nice guy and a great human interest story but there's a reason why he was selected in the 6th round. Assuming he can get past the turf toe Ron Dayne will be our starter by week 4 at the latest, mark my words. Our young guys aren't going to get it done.

Yes I do agree the running game needs some work, hopefully we can see the same run game like we did in preseason, but in the Denver system the lineman are smaller and quicker, versus the Texans are all pretty good size...so hopefully they can adapt....quickly

He looked slow to me, as for big maybe i should have said fat or lazy

I know who he is, he's the bust they wasted alot of good draft picks on, he had an ok game today but still is not playing at a 1st round pick level.

How can I not know who he is,he's the guy holding on to the ball to long and getting sacked because of it or escaping the pocket before any real pressure comes... rolling out to his right before heaving it out of bounds... the one throwing on his back foot.. that is him right #8

Sad to say but it's both

That sure is a pleasant, diplomatic(moderator), and long winded way to tell someone they don't know what the hell they're talking about.
