Gulf Coast Offense

well here is to the Gulf Coast Offense

a little bit of Denver , a little bit of Green Bay

Wolf was the first I know of to use this term and I for one like it. I hope the PR department from the Texans front office see this and runs with it. It could be a catchy term for our new improved offense. Also, I hope we are able to keep Sherman for awhile. Green Bay never should have fired him.

I think N.O. was using that for a little while, when Aaron Brooks, JoeHorn, and RickyWilliams started making noise in NewOrleans.

Coach Slocum on a Mobile used that term years ago on SR 610 to lampoon the Ags offense.

Speaking of Slocum I'm surprised he hasn't been tapped as a candidate for a NFL Defensive Coordinators position somewhere. Say what you will about his offenses but the man new how to run an excellent 3-4 Defense.

The Ags sure could've used him as Defensive Coordinator last year, and maybe even this year too!

every nickname ive ever heard used on these boards..never stuck. I guess its just the nature of things like this that they have to be spontaneous.

you have to be good for nicknames to stick. One step at a time.

I honestly can't take props for that, I heard someone on here say it (can't remember who it was)

Hopefully we've got an offense worth naming! ;)

Maybe the south coast offense, for something different.

It Has a good sound to it but i too have heard it before. i just believe we actually have to look like and offense before giving ourselfs Nicknames:yawn:

I think "The 32" is highly relevant.

After all, the Texans were 32nd in offense a couple of times over the past few seasons, right? And Lundy was our leading rusher with 32 yards against Philly last week.

I like it.

Hmmmm.... Maybe the nickname should have something in the name refering to the mascot like the Bullish Offense or the Stampede. Or how about the Horny Offense, when you play the Texans you are going to get fu........ ahhhhh..... nevermind. :hides:

Whenever I think of Gulf Coast, I think of those dirty brown waters you have to swim in, in Galveston. So the name sounds dirty. I think it's a bad name. Maybe third coast offense.

I think the GCO is still waiting for a front to come in atlest the GCD is (Gulf Coast Defense)
