UT friendship leaves mark on Simms, Shanahan

Chris Simms and Kyle Shanahan became such good friends at the University of Texas that they have their initials tattooed on each other's lower leg.
Simms, the Tampa Bay quarterback who will play briefly in tonight's preseason game against the Texans, enters the season as a starter for the first time since 2002, his last year with the Longhorns.

Watching Rome is burning right now, and he mentioned that Chris Simms and Kyle Shanahan have each others initials tatooed on their legs. He thought it was weird, and I have to say, it is a bit strange!

When questioned, Simms said it was because they were best friends because both their dads were important in NFL.

Anyway, not important. Maybe their more than friends, maybe just close friends, who really cares? Its their business. but I thought it was a funny note nonetheless

I didn't know Kyle was THAT young. I can't believe a guy like that is our WR's coach. Shouldn't he be some sort of filler/assisstant coach?

610 said it was all 5 guys this morning that got each other's initials. Still weird, but not as weird. Kinda reminds me of the "SWEET" and "DUDE" tattoos they got on "Dude, Where's My Car?"

I try to stick up for the Horns whenever I can around here, but I'm at a loss for words this time.
