Well I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to see which reciever gets cut from the Bengals. Every reciever on their team looked outstanding tonight. I hope that #10 gets cut, we could pick him up and have our own version of Randle El.:excited: Shoot he would be a great #3 QB and #5 reciever. 28 yard TD tonight might screw things up for us. Who else out in the freshly cut numbers would you guys like to see make it out to Houston.

Ya there's a good possibility that he could drop to use with all the talent that Cin. has at that postion.

Absolutely not. You realize the conspiracy talk that would go on if the Texans signed Reggie McNeal? It will be interesting to see who becomes available, though.

I would have a calf if they cut Reggie McNeal. There is no way, but he was once regarded as being a better QB than VY. That is besides the point, he would so help our team at WR or 3rd string QB.

There's no way McNeal gets cut, but if he does, I got a spot for him at backup QB...

Really?--no way the guy the Bengals fail to list on their depth chart as either a QB or WR gets cut? OK

Sarcasm aside--wouldn't mind the Texans picking him up and seeing what QB coach Kubiak could do with him.

I went to ther NFL site and loked up ther roster. From what I can tell ther is a good chance that either McNeal or A. Chatman will not make the roster, but from what I saw Chatman served as a kickoff returner and you know how teams like dual poostion guys on their team. I think there WR core will consist of C. Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, C. Henry, K. Washington who resigned as a rrestricted free agent, T. Perry who has been making a name for his self with many TD grads in the pre-season, and A. Chatman if they keep 6 WR's. Also on the bubble is that kid P.K. Sam from FSU that was drafted in the second round of the 2004 draft and played with the Patriots in 2 games before hurting his groin which ended his playing eligibility for the season. He spent the next year on practice squad until Cincy signed him on as a FA on
2-1-06.

The bengals players arent really all that bad with the exception of chris henry he is the menace here in cincy. The national media blows things way way out of proportion.

Yes kevin walters who is a good WR in the first place...Looking around the FA is what im sure our coachin staff will do and I'd love to have mcneal!

I doubt we look at him though. I think we will be looking more for vet. type of players vs rookie/development types of players on the wire.

Maybe. Maybe not. I just know that he could play special teams, as well as add depth to our DB's...And it all depends on who gets released...If they are looking to pick up some guys before this up coming game, they may take a look at him...

This is a list guys that the broncos are presumably going to cut.... Think any of them will be pick up by us?? Im thinking maybe we should take a look at CB Middlebrooks.

G P.J. Alexander

G Martin Bibla

T Javier Collins

T Cornell Green

LB Kevin Harrison

G/C Rob Hunt

CB Willie Middlebrooks

DT Patrice Majondo-Mwamba

FB Rashon Powers-Neal

S Antwaun Rogers

DT Bryan Save

The first wave of cuts is not the players you want. It's the last cuts when teams have to trim the rosters to max allowed. That is where you will find some good players...

Needs are,

DB's
LB's
RB's

I've heard that Kubiak helped recruite Mcneal to A&M. Any truth in that and do you think it plays a role in whether or not we give him a looksie?

Frankly, I think Kubes doesn't have time to or doesn't want to fool around with expirement players right now.

Expiremental guys? I really do not think McNeal is an expiremental guy. Look I am a big UT homer I'll admit that, but I am not one of those guys who says every other team in Texas sucks, and the Longhorns are bla bla bla bla bla. I like to see all of the Texas based players do well. I saw the video of McNeal running the 4.3 at the combine and I've seen McNeal play in Cincy. The kid can play and he would step in day one as probably with the exception of Mathis and maybe AJ as one of the fastest WR on the team. There is no doubt he could play QB in this system. The difference between Carr and McNeal in the bootleg and avoiding the rush is about like night and day. I say you pick him up as practice squad, give him a playbook, and start molding for the future. He would be alot better choice than most people give credit for. I doubt he will be on the first set of cuts but if he is we should jump on it and pick him up.

I'm talking about Mcneal as a WR not QB. I am not being biased with him either. I know he can play but at this time the kid is making the jump not only from college to the NFL but in position as well.

I would like to pick him up but I believe Kubes is going to look for people that can contribute right away not build for the future right now.

"Carolina again should have an elite defense. The Panthers are so good along the defensive line that they're probably going to release a guy who'll wind up playing significant time with another club. Damione Lewis, a first-round pick in 2001, is listed as third on the depth chart at left defensive tackle."

Gary Kubiak said they were looking for some additional help at the defensive tackle position. Damione Lewis could be someone worth looking at. The fact that he is from Texas doesn't hurt either.

2 guys just got waived and should be picked up here pretty soon and given a hard look at. Tennessee just released WR S. Thomas who was a favorite of mine last pre-season and N.E. Patriots just released Alabama star LB F. Roach. The texans should jump on these 2 guys right away, because they would diffently be upgrades over a couple we still have on the team.

It would be nice to bring Thomas back. I played on the same team as him in high school and always liked his determination.

That's not saying much in my opinion. But that's just me...

The sad part is that Vy is really low on my list of QB's, great athlete, but not even close to a good QB, even in college.

Do not forget that Randle El and Ward were once QB's, one in college, and one in high school. In my opinion, it is very possible for him to become a decent WR.

I am sure it is possible for him to be a good WR but I feel that Kubiak is wanting to get guys in who he knows can contribute right away. I just feel that if it takes a rookie WR four years to really develop, then it is probably going to take Mcneal a little longer and we can't wait for that at this time.

I looking for guys that were in the playoffs and guys like that played for New England. Guys who know what it's like to win but they better have more talent than what we have and we have alot of talent on both side of the ball for first time since we came in the league. That being said I think we need to look for DB,LB, and OL JMO.

Is the team going somewhere I dont know about? Last time I checked the Texans were still going to be around in 4 years. If he gets cut, we can pick him up and give him a practice squad spot for the first year and see what happens.

I'm under the impression if we are looking for FA right now, we are going to look for someone who can come in and contribute on game day in a backup role.

We have players that can be put on practice squad already.

Todd Pinkston...

I could see that but I just don't know what his issue is.

It doesn't say alot of if guys like Gaffney beat him out of a spot.
