History repeats itself

With the history that the Titans(old oilers) had here in texas,,is it any suprise that they would evenyually go back to the old team they were before they left here ? Same old team same old history same old luck just a different name !!! But i love the fact we get to face them twice a year, and when we start consitently beating them it will be much sweeter !

heh-heh-heh, the smurf blue...errrr...columbia blue never let it's karma get too far away from the old franchise. I think it kept them 1 yard away from scoring in the Superbowl, too!

But I wouldn't count the Titans out just yet. With Air Mcnair, anything is possible. They are still a formidable team, even at 2-4.

Oh no doubt ,,,you can never count them out,,, i just REALLY dont like them and yeah your right about the superbowl ! If they hadnt come from houston and had that bad karma they would of made that extra yard. I'm glad to see the texans are moving forward instead of back, better than how the oilers performed when they were here. Seems they always on the short end of the stick !

You just had defeated us once, in how many games between us?

Houston still has so many things to prove, the road to play offs is still kinda far. Yes, Houston has improved, but is still far some, from the Pats, Indy and the Jags are giving also a good fight.

About the Titans being or returning to be the frustrating Oilers, that's just out of the line. That will not happen..starting for the fact that Steve McNair is a warrior, he had played very injured many games, including play-offs...he is not the shaky mouse that Moon was, whenever he step over the play.off mat.

Consistently beating us? I doubt that as well.
This year the team has 12 injured players and that counts a lot. Many rookies started to play before than expected, but they are very taleneted, and is just matter that they undertsand the NFL speed and scheme.

But if you think that us started a free fall, that's wrong. Just rememebr that with this same team we gave Green Bay their worst lost at Lambeau Field in their history...the "pieces" that are composing the Titans, just need to be tuned-up and the team has a great chance to fight back.

you know tha shhhhh game last year ??? we had 19 players that were on IR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But i seem to remember fans giving us a lot of **** about it and rubbing it in ! You cant be the dominate team in the NFL forever every team has to go through a rebuilding process !!! I mean do you really think the Titans will dominate the AFC south forever ? Or dominate the texans forever ? Lets be realistic !

I must gently will make you take a seat and listen to me carefuly.

THE HOUSTON TEAM HAS DEFEATED US ONCE.

Houston hasn't won anything yet, and your team is on a developing process..or tell me when the Texans, had won the AFC South already? How many times had they went to an AFC Championship game? Or tell me if this season is already over? Because I don't think so.

Because you haven't seen nothing yet. As far as records say, the Titans still own the Texans!! :hehe:

haha ya know your town just got what houston was glad to get rid of ! Ya can say what ya will about our team but what have the Titans proven ?? Oh must be all the superbowls yall have won huh. And i cant imagine how it felt when u were one yard short in the superbowl OUCH !!! I think the only reason you are still on our message board is cause Yours has such great fans RIGHT ??? Well i dont care what yall did to green bay you guys are 2-4 right ?? Who cares we have beaten you now and until you beat us again i think you'd be better off keeping your mouth shut !

Titanico, your franchise holds the record for the WORST CHOKE IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL. And you really think the "Music City Miracle" can overcome that?! lol:

Sorry Charlie, but you got Houston's leftovers. And bragging about beating an EXPANSION team is nice. :blah:

The Titans have been at one Super Bowl? and that's better than what Houston can say....ZERO..NOTHING...NADA.

We have won our division several times (yes, please add the ones the Oilers won, beacuse we own those numbers as well).

Yeah...one yard away to tie the fisrt SB in history...but I am proud to the core how the Titans played on it....critics thought that game will be pic-nic for the Rams...well it wasn't close...it was a very exciting game. Something that the coursed city of houston (sportswise and excluding basketball) can't tell about.

There are many good Titans fans at the T.O.M.B., the reason I am here, is because no matter how my Titans had been doing I am VERY proud of them, because I am not a cheap and poor fan that is only in the good times with the team. The Titans had made many things to be proud of. We have been the winningest team in the past 5 seasons...what the texans have to be proud of...the new stadium? come on! are you here to play football or just to be showing off about a building?

The Titans had beaten your Texans more times than you had beaten us...which if I am not counting wrong, you had beaten us ONCE

So...why don't you shut up first, and come and talk to me when the texans had beatn us in 6 games in a row? :boxing:

I guess that means we own the Pittsburgh Steelers too? Since we're 1-0 against them all time, and we're the only team in the NFL that Bill Cowher hasn't been able to beat. Of course not. Implying that the Titans own any team in this division is silly. All time records do nothing for this year. The Colts swept you last season, but I don't see you claiming that the Colts 'own' your Titans. They've already beaten you once, and are probably going to sweep you again this season. You've lost to the Jags and the Texans. You don't have much room to talk about any team in this division. Make no mistake that the Titans are rebuilding, and you can call it "rebuilding on the run" or whatever but every NFL team goes through something like it at some point in time. The Titans have a good GM and coach, and I'm sure they'll do better than some other teams have during this rebuilding mode. Look at the 49ers. They're having a tough go of rebuilding. I'm sure Floyd Reese will do a much better job than them, and try to reload quicker.

Exactly.

We have 12 players injured, 2 of them at the IR list, and maybe Calico will be added sooner to that list.

But Floyd Reese had made good moves and the team has very taleneted rookies. It is said that vets will start working and seriously with the rookies, because going to GB and gave to the packers their worst lost in their history, that sys a lot of what kind of a team the Titans still are. Is just matter of join the "pieces" and tune-up the game plans, by what the players we can count on.

Well, since you are owning up to all of your franchise's history and records, then you have not one, but TWO great chokes to talk about. :woot

Sometime feeding trolls is fun! Especially when they are all bark and no bite! :hmmm:

How in the heck of the face of this earth, can you call me a troll? I am a die-hard and proud Titans fan!!!!

Yeah..we have to chokes to talk about, but better times had come. Just don't remind that to the '99 Jags and Colts.

What your team has bitten already? by the way.

As a former Oiler fan beginning in 1967, I must laugh at anyone that believes the Titans because of a name change are a different team. Bud Adams still owns them correct? Having visited your lovely state on more than one occassion, I can truly say, I've never met a nicer bunch of people. It was almost like being home. You have many things to be prideful about...the TITANS aren't one of them. I'm sorry you guys ended up with them, I could wish it on my enemy, but never my friends. Bud Adams will forever be an imbecile, his offspring are imbeciles, and the best thing that could happen is to rid this world of such a sorry bloodline. I was never happier, than to see that dumb $^%*# hit the road....After your heart is broke, I'll still be here for ya....and I got a big shoulder to cry on :)

Remember King Hill, Dudley Meredith, Sid Gilman, Bum Phillips, and Earl Campbell....I miss you guys, and I know it was NEVER your fault.

I think most will admit that Reese made good moves by getting young and talented rookies to infuse his team with some youth, but Rookies take time to mature. Some mature relatively quickly, and yet other take a few seasons. The point is that reloading with rookies is fine if you have veterans to fill the gap till the rookies mature and rise to the occasion. Until then you have a young an inexperienced player that will make mistakes as he learns the game. That is essientially what you're faced with in Tennessee. The Texans and GM Charlie Casserley made several good moves too during the past three drafts. We got many talented rookies, and many from the past drafts are now at the point where they're no longer rookies, but talented NFL stars. Carr struggled the first two seasons, and he's now proving to be one of the best young QBs in the NFL. AJ was a rookie last season, but I'm sure you wouldn't call him a rookie by the way he's played thus far this season. He made Samari Rolle look silly on the quick passes to him that went for 10 + yards. That's not an insult to Rolle because he did hte very same thing to Charles Woodson, and he'll continue to do so to many top flight CBs. Chester Pitts has started every snap for the Texans, and he's proving to be a monster at LG. Seth Wand is doing well at LT in only his second season after being a project in his first. We have rookies starting on defense this year in Babin and Robinson. Both are adjusting, and both have made their share of rookie mistakes. The point being that it takes time to see returns on the investment you make in rookies. We likely won't see a return on our investment in Babin and Robinson until next season when we hope to make a playoff appearance. The Titans rookies will take time too, and patience could prove to be a virtue in Tennessee.

Have you been to the TOMB lately?....Doesn't sound like it. Your belief's are in the minority if the posters on the TOMB are to be believed. Your fellow Titan fans are ready to trade McNair (even have a poll about it) and start Volek, as though some team would swallow that huge cap hit. Reese is being crucified for not having any recievers waiting in the wings. Your rookie tight end is being called a wasted draft pick. I could go on and on but if you are interested in the Titans and not the Texans you should go to the TOMB and catch up on your own teams problems. If you are satisfied to hang around here and smack about beating an expansion team twice in their inaugural year, twice in their second year when we had 17 players on IR then smack away. But the truth of the matter is we are an expansion team starting our third year and we came into your house and whipped your oilers uh I mean Titans. Get used to it, the oilers have come home to roost. :twocents:

LOL well the reason we call you a troll is because you are on our site talking mess !!!! Isnt that generally what a troll is ,,,going to other message boards ! Well i understand that your team and message board suck so feel free to come to winning message board HAHA (PRETTY GOOD HUH)

Meatballs fans have very short memories. They beat us with the number of players we had on IR (and it took them almost the final play of the game to do it) and thump their chests like they won the Superbowl (probably the closest they will come to winning the SB in the next few years, so I guess I can't blame them). We beat them, and the whine machine goes into overdrive....WAHHHHH!!!! We had 12 players on IR, so it wasn't fair!!

hmm was it only 12 ??? seemed like i rememebr it beign 19 oh well same thing !! so now they get mad and have excuses when we win ! lol thats typical !

Bud wants a ticket tax.

The titans stadium needs repair. Bud has sent letter saying he is willing to put a ticket tax on ticket sales to raise 5 million for repairs (leaks).

Next he will be asking for a new stadium, because the old one is leaking and falling apart. :hehe:

 The honeymoon is over!!!

I knew it was just a matter of time before Bud started his shenanigans again. It's his nature. Good ol' Bud Adams...he makes you appreciate Bob McNair and the class that the Texans organization is about THAT MUCH MORE!!

Bud to Tennessee fans: :read: = $$$$

We feel for ya'! And we'll have a sympathetic shoulder for you to cry on when the party is over! :cute:
