I know that's a loaded question, but IMO, it seems like some of you are bailing on him already.

Well, since you asked, yeah . . . in a way. I mean, you and everyone else knew going in what Carr's faults are, and it's been discussed ad nauseum as to why he got them, how he got them, and where he got them.thunderkyss said:First, am I bailing out on him if I criticize David??

Second, we've seen some major turnarounds on nearly every aspect of our game........ both sides of the ball.
Our offensive line has only given up one sack... just one, all preseason. The Broncos were held to 107 yards on the ground.... mostly (I think) by their 4th guy in garbage time. We've had 2 games where our defense scored multiple sacks......
We won 2 out of 3 preseason games......... by pretty good margins. Maybe we spoil easy.

[[Gary Kubiak]] said:You peole are doing MORE than just criticizing David. I dont see anybody going bananas at the broncos board. Plummer made some bad decitions too. Kube thinks David can make it. Its 3 preseason and people are calling for his head already.
Do you think it is impossible for Gary Kubiak to address the guys tomorrow morning, and with a straight face say, "I think we can win everygame"Trade'06pick said:Anyone can see that things are already much better than last year or the year before for that matter. I am concerned that some of us are probably expecting too much. I'd be happy if Kubes could match the 7-9 season of two years ago, but this years' schedule is tough, tough, tough. I honestly don't know what to expect.
And even with all that, we still could've/should've won. We gave them a touchdown, and lost by 3.....Trade'06pick said:I saw, once again, last night how just a few mistakes can turn a close game in the other teams' favor. Last night was winnable. I don't think Carr could see the heat coming from Lundy's right on that tip interception from where he was standing in the pocket. Wiegert got straight up beat on that sack. Owen Daniels hurt us with the offside call. Spencer had some mental miscues. There were several defensive line encroachment and procedural calls that hurt us as well. Carr made a couple of poor decisions with the football while under duress.
HOU-TEX said:Carr's been sacked 3 times this pre-season. Two were definetly the lines fault. The other I'm not sure about. 3 times in 3 games isn't bad at all. Heck, I'd take a 16 sack season.

Denver 1st sack--primarily Carr not throwing it away
Denver 2nd sack--Wiegert beat inside
Kubiak said:(on QB David Carr) “A lot of the things that happened early in the game were David’s fault. On the interception I think he tried to dump it to Wali Lundy. He (Carr) has to protect the ball. He is in charge of protecting the ball. I think we proved that we can be a pretty good team, without the turnovers.”
