Some are reporting there is a cut to 65 on tuesday, others are saying 75. Just last night... a announcer said 'its not 65, its 75 on tuesday. Which is it?

I'm pretty sure it's 75.

NFL.com News
Aug. 29 -- Roster cutdown to maximum of 75 players.

Sept. 2 -- Roster cutdown to maximum of 53 players.

Sept. 3 -- Clubs may establish practice squad of eight players.

It's 75. But the NFL Europe exemptions also expire on Tuesday, whereas they expired on the final cutdown last season. I think the Texans will have to cut a dozen players, maybe more if they plan to make waiver claims.

Ya he looked pretty good, but wasn't that against the 2nd string unit?

Bruener stays. Kalu stays. Is it just me or did Cook play much better tonight? I think the rest are in trouble. Stone may stay if we don't pick up a better DB from other teams' cuts.

Will we cut down to exactly 75 or under 75 with the attention that we will be adding additional players from other teams?

I agree, I think simmons stays too. Its a coin flip between Luchey and Cook, Of course, I didn't watch the game so I don't know how they blocked.

I think they cut down to exactly 75, but the list they make will anticpate additional cuts to provide room for waiver pick ups.

For those that didnt watch the NFL Network broadcast.. or just didnt know.. they said we are making all of our cuts on Monday so that we will be ready for signings on Tuesday.

So.. big day today.

Kubes has some tough decisions. Who do you think is gonna get waved?

I think the tough decisions are yet to come. The next cut will be the most difficult decision wise. We have a short week this week, which I believe is the main reason Kubes & co. are making the cuts today. It's going to be quick decision making for who thier going to pick up. One has to think they already might have an idea who's being cut and who they're picking up. It should be interesting the next few days. We have first dibs, so we should pick up some good ones. Even better ones the next cut.:whip:

The first waive of cuts are complete. They were completed by 10 a.m. Among them are Damien Rhodes (RB) and Earthwind Moreland (CB). There were 14 cuts......stay tuned.

Do you have a link, or can you at least list the rest of the cuts

whos gonna get cut?? oh, the suspense is killing me!

im thinkin rhodes is gone, too many rbs as it is. i havent seen walters do anything either, but i doubt hes in any real trouble for now

Rich Lord 610 said Kubes will announce cuts @ 3pm from Reliant. It is now 2:10 pm. Hope this helps you.

Armstrong is a bit of a surprise if only because I thought he'd make it to the 2nd round of cuts. He's a good player, and I'm sure some team will take a chance on him. Walker isn't a surprise, but he'll definately be remembered by fans for his performance against the Patriots. I wish them both the best of luck elsewhere.

I think he might mean Ramon Walker because it was Ramon Walker that blocked a punt and blocked a FG to get us into OT.

This bodes well for Derrick Lewis. Now the pressure is really on.

Keep Lewis! :)

He's fast, good legs, long arms (although skinny), and stick'em for hands. After the catch yardage isn't so good. But still.

I agree as long as there's no one else available through waivers.
