Kris Brown Poll

If Kris Brown continues missing kicks will this effect our record ?

I have been worried about this since last year after Kris pulled a for sure kick during a game last year, and now after missing two in pre-season this year, is this a trend of things to come for Kris, and how bad will this affect the team.

I really don't like the fact that we didn't even bring anyone in to compete with him. I has no reason to worry about missing a field goal. It's not like he will lose his job if he does.

No offense, but isn't this a pretty obvious answer? If a kicker misses kicks, we lose points and give up better field position. There is no way this couldn't affect your gameplan.

Maybe a better poll would be, "Will Kris Brown's performance improve?" or "Will Kris Brown continue missing kicks?"

I agree

I don't like the answers to those questions.

I think the possibility exists that a potential winning record could be jeopardized by our kicking game (if Brown doesn't show more consistency). If 2-3 games come down to points scored by FG, which is very likely with an up and coming team like ours, then our kicker could make all the difference.

How are we gonna feel if we could have gone 10-6 and we go 6-10 because of our kicker? That could ruin our reputation around the league for another year. Course, I guess it's only people's uninformed opinions.

That's what I was looking for, what happens if he cost us several wins, that could mean a trip to the playoffs or finished at the end of the year against Cleveland...........I take there are no decent Free Agent kickers out there, Indy, Carolina, New England seem to have the best clutch kickers in the league, I hope Kris will improve........

NO..... we'll avg a 9 point differential in our favor........

There are bigger fires to quell than the kicker position right now.

The chances of the Texans making the playoffs are a little long to worry about this.

Take care of the lines of scrimmage on both sides of the ball this year, improve the quarterback play with the wide receivers, and we will be sitting very nice next year to upgrade the defensive back positions and a kicker if need be.

It just doesn't seem to be something a first year coach should lose sleep over considering the other items that need fixing first.

Basically, one thing at a time.

We should try to get MattBryant from the TampaBay Buccaneers... he's from BridgeCity Texas..

This is the NFL , of course if the kicker misses a few during the course of the season he can cost his team several wins . The talent level between the teams is minimul .... a good kicker can be the dirrerence between 6-10 or 10-6 easily .

Considering there were a couple of games last season that sealed the deal for the #1 pick, that carrying over into this season... we're not trying for the #1 pick again. I hope he gets it together.
