Replacement for Carr?

Of all non-starting QB's, who would you like to see running the Texans offense?
Vince Young. He clearly has "it" ... so much so that the Broncos fell prostrate before his power and still handed it to the Titans 35-10. Speaking of ... where are all the people who insisted that VY's mere presence would transform the Titans into serial winners?

If you want a serious answer ... I don't ... yet.

Matt Schaub, the guy is a starting QB, to bad he is stuck behind the human hype Mike Vick, I feel sorry for him. I would love to see him get a shot somewhere.

Joey Harrington. The guy had more potential in college and should have been taken before Carr originally.
Wow ... I think I'll exercise my ignore setting now.

Yeah, Joey Harrington is a Hall of Famer in the rough. We need him.

...in the realm of 'what have you done for me lately,' Young completed his last 8 passes and ran for his first NFL touch down---signs of things to come?

After an ugly start, he turned out to have a pretty respectable game. My post was more sarcasm than anything; I just remember reading a lot of rather hyperbolic posts talking about how Vince pissed victory and inspired everybody. Just pointing out the obvious contradiction and need for perspective -- then and now.

actually the Titans did draft the two players I would have liked to have seen in Texans uniforms this year. White was in the game when it mattered most and we could have had both players with our first two picks. No knock on the two we did get though, we did need defensive help.

Isn't this whole thread about sarcasm? If not I need to change my answer.:spy:

If a "non starter" was a "non starter" for another team, why, oh why, would I want him starting for my team?:ok: :tease:

Good choice, I think the Falcons are tempted to start him as it is. Vick is very talented, but thus far has not been able to utilize it.

Young completing his last eight passes isn't what you make it seem, he was bailed out by ticky tack penalties. The Colts rule 5 yard penalties on DBs.

Otherwise he would of had 2 incomplete passes and a INT. The foul on that play was well away from the ball.

Young played horrible, but oh well he's a rookie so I'm not going to hold it against him, but I'm also not going to act like he pulled it altogether and finished strong. The scramble to the endzone and fumble was a bad play, luckily the ball bounced back to him. Live and Learn

At the moment it has no redeeming value. :howdy:

Back to your original point, I've liked what I've seen so far from Sage. I know we've seen his play against 2nd and 3rd stringers, but still, dude has poise and is making great decisions. I see why Kubiak brought him to town. He's definitely got more competitive edge than Banks had.

I agree, but hope that point comes much later. Getting a new QB is almost like starting over, so I'm hoping Carr has what it takes to succeed in Kubiak's system. He looked a little shaky last night to me.

guess time will tell who will be the next starting QB for us {life after Carr} and who better than Kubiak to find him?
You won't get too much love here unless you cheer for Carr. Nobody knows who will be here after Carr as nobody that posts here is psychic. This topic has been beat to death, so since you are new I'd suggest you just do a forum search.

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Double Barrel again.:)

BTW DB, are you at the top of the totem pole now, or is the next step up from Hall of Fame member an ascension to a higher form of existance, as if you'll radiate pure energy or something?

(Hey, cut me some slack . . . I'm watching a Stargate rerun on the Sci-Fi channel . . :tease:

I wanted to pick Bruce Gradkowsi from Toledo . So far he's 22/27/3TDs for Tampa Bay .

This is not hindsight ... its in the historical message board archives .

What would it hurt to start Sage , say the last preseason game ... you know to save David ?

Marcus Vick, the man has the "it"

I say Rick Smith trades a case of M16s and 12 hookers for the boy! Daunte Caulpeper say he will take the deal.

:worm: :hides:
Once you start offering M16s, you may have Crazy Mo slowly creeping towards the Texans practice facilities. That might offer a little more insurance for DD though.

We'll know when Hervoyel gets there. He's much more deserving of these things than me, your humble servant. :howdy:

yeah, I didn't want to be harsh, but didn't think we needed yet another thread devolving into the black/white Carr routine. Many of them seem to do that on their own anyway.
