This thread was coming anyway so I decided to start it early. He looked every bit as good as advertised tonight. On his 2nd carry, he made a brilliant cutback on a broken play which was leftbound and took it back around the right edge for a 44 yarder. It was vintage USC RB. He finished with 59 yards on 6 carries and 10 yards on 2 receptions after 3 offensive series.

BTW I did see the highlight and bush reversed field..was a nice run

Against the Titans? So if you had drafted drafted Reggie Bush he would be running against our defense twice a year. Saying it was a "against the Titans!" is a cop out. Like the Texans are any better...?

i don't care if it's preseason. I was there in person and Reggie Bush embarassed our defense. He might be the fastest person I've ever seen play in person. it was incredible.

You do have a point... Texans 32nd against the run last year.... still Titans were 22nd and not very good in their own right. I know if Reggie Bush did that to the Saints.. I'd be saying he did it to the Saints.. BFD...

We got 5 sacks tex... none against us... He isnt brought in just to DO sacks, but to help the Defense GET sacks..

Actually, we played well, with our DTs being the exception, but as I tried to tell Vinny, they were going up against Will Shields and Brian Waters, two pro bowl guards.

Congrats to Reggie, he's shown he's not the holdout from USC. :tease:

Oh my..... this guy is third on our depth chart, and his stats are similar to Reggies first preseason game.......... except our guy has a touchdown to boot.

Wish, but it probably wont happen. One good game by Lundy, but we need to see if it continues to happen.

NOw I'm not saying that I was rooting for him...... but I was definitely interested in how he did..... and it made me feel good, when he did well.....

I thought it was odd, that Brees played out of the shotgun so much more than Vince.... thought it was wierd really.

I doubt Brees is fully recovered and I would think that Payton would want to give him as much time in the pocket as possible.

Good play--he made 30 yds off Lamont Thompson having the aggression of Marcus Coleman. That is going to happen with people being scared of his speed and twitch.
 
Was this not expected. He is fast, and he can cut, no one disputed that. Only thing that bothers me is the Titans take terrible angles. If that was the first team I look forward to them this year. Maybe they should do less brawling and more work on angles and tackling. Other than that Reggie looked good, his blocking is near non-existant, but that is to be expected from a rookie RB. VY impressed me though, I am not a VY fan never have been, but he ran alot less than I expected. When he gets some accuracy he should develop into a pretty good QB.

The two Texans rookie running backs each looked better. Taylor and Lundy
 
I wouldn't exactly call it a "cutback" either. It was a the whole stumble and reverse field type thing.
 
Watching Reggie do the cutback across the field was cool it reminded of college and high school games, But i don't think he will be able to do that alot because teams will start targeting him just after that one play.
