Kubiak names someone a future hall of famer?

Texans Pride

On the Texans website under "internet tv" there is a link for "Camp Clips: Day 6", in the interview Kubiak is talking about someone named Erick. He says that Erick doesn't know what he's done for this football team in the short time that he's been here. He also states that he brings credibility to everything that's going on, and that all these kids go up to him at practice and ask him questions and that we are talking about a hall of fame football player in his opinion. and that we are really glad to have him.

Who is he talking about? Is he talking about Erick Winston like that already?! If so, that is some serious high praise for a rookie!

My guess is Eric Moulds. He's been around for a while and certainly could be a borderline Hall of Fame player.

Jesus...Why did that completly space me...thanks V. I got very excitited thinking it might be Winston...the kids part confused me since Winston would be one of the kids.

I had to look on the Texans roster to find an Eric. I completely forgot about Moulds. I'm sure I won't forget about him once the season starts though! :yahoo:

I have a feeling no one will who is a Texans fan. He has done so much for this team that is not visible. I'm certain that he has a huge impact on how patterns are run. We simply didn't do that well before and I think he has taught AJ a thing or two. He changes all of the dynamics of the offense. People are not going to double AJ or they will pay for it. Waiting in the wings is the young man Walters. We will put 3 very large WR's on the field in various combinations. The other teams are not going to like the action.

In addition he is a go to man. If that ball is anywhere near him he will go and get it. He might be a little older, but his hands are still great. I would not be surprised if people key on him at 1st. Its one of those pick your poison type deals.

My expectations remain very high for this ball club and Eric is one of the catalyzts. This ball club is coming together very nicely and there is abundance of team spirit and togetherness along with a good deal of humility. I truely believe we are going to make believers out of a lot of people this year.

Sit back, relax and let the fun begin. Enjoy the season it should be a very satisfying and long one.

One other thing about Moulds, he brings veteran leadership to an offense that has never had one. The defense had one with Aaron Glenn and Jamie Sharper a few years ago, but the offense never has. Moulds brings lots of intangibles. We'll be able to see what he does on the field, but having that experience will, in my opinion, help the team greatly.

I'm in agreement with you, it's going to be a fun season.

When inducted, wouldn't that make the first Caveman to be in the HOF ?

THe caveman thing is never not funny - it's like "yo mama" jokes directed at someone other than yourself
