Some short quips from Eric Moulds tend to reinforce my beliefs about what is going to happen this season. He is high on the Texans and mentions AJ and Walters. He also metions DD. I have made my prediction of 13-3 and I stand by that as long as DD can some how make it onto the playing field. Right now he is the biggest concern. Could some one else replace him, certainly. However, he is the key injured player we have at this point in time without a reasonable replacement.

I have predicted we will win our division and that has a lot of you up in arms. I'm certainly not in the ESPN camp. I believe Indy and the Jaguars have lost ground and the Titans will be where we were last year.

If David stays healthy you are going to wonder where has he been all this time. The answer still remains the same. No coaching, no line and no receivers make a QB look bad. You are in for a big surprise as to what we are going to do and how we are going to do it. The other teams are not going to like the Texan's offense and what we will be doing to them.

Oh, well, as I have been saying for some time. Just sit back and relax and watch the show, its going to be an amazing year.

Its really funny, because I have posted and taken this position a long time ago about this year's team. I even went on record as to what games I thought we would win and loose. I have also stated I think this is going to be those onnce in a decade stories in sports. I feel that McClain, ESPN and all the others are missing a great sports story.

Its everything that is happening that makes me feel this way. Kubiak, Sherman and all of the others on the coaching staff are making huge strides in developing this team. Then you take Moulds, Mario, Flannigan, Putzier, Weaver, Walters, and go on from there and you have a very changed team. Moulds is a huge aquistion. He is the TO of this team. He will help everyone on this team get better and will be a major factor in the development of AJ.

When you listen to Moulds speak you hear nothing but confidence. You also get the impression he knows some things that no one else is talking about. You can tell its all about winning with him and he's going to do everything in his power to make that happen. He brings fire to this ball club.

You have BJ possibly doing the impossible and making the team this year. That in of itself is a story worth following. That also brings fire to the ball club. Every where you look there are so many reasons to be optomistic. Yet many can't believe we will do anything.

All I can say is that I was very on about what would happen last year and I see a totally different picture this year. I think Kubiak is going to develop into an NFL coaching legend. I'm no spring chicken and I still can remember watching Norm Van Brocklin (spelling) when the eagles won way back when.

Yes, I have seen Jimmy Bown, Earl, Unitis, Horning, Taylor,YA, Hirsch, and so many other play the game. I may have a very different view of the game than some of you think and I have watched a lot of sports over the years. I've been pretty good at getting a feeling about when something special was going to happen and I just have that feeling about this year's team. Could something happen, could I be wrong, but of course. I just don't think so though.

As I keep saying, just sit back and relax and enjoy the season. Its going to be special.

You have taken the cup half full approach to a new level. The cup runneth over. Well, I admire your stand, as sometimes when you stand out on a limb, it tends to snap off.

You being optimistic is really weird.....
Not really, Ibar seriously predicted we would win the Super Bowl in year ONE when we drafted his boy David Carr.

I'm not sure of a 13-3 record, however I do think we are capable of a 9 to 10 win season and a legit shot at making the playoffs. My reasoning is simple. Based on our first 3 years of steady improvement and then last years collapse, I think last year was a mix of the team giving up on the coaching and the coaching just giving up. Now with a new fresh start I fully expect this team to rebound to where they should have been last year.

Ibar, if you are that confident of a 13-3 season, then you should have no problem thinking the Texans will win the Super Bowl.

Spread your betting around the AFC South Division winner, AFC Championship, and the Super Bowl to hedge a little, and you are going to make bank this year.

Good luck, you are going to need it if you place those bets.

Ha, ha...

You have to admit we started off well that season. What happened after that was a site to behold. My optomism continued into year 2 and I still think I was right, but injuries were beyond belief. I've stated many times that lead to the demise of the Capers era and I still think that is true. We never recovered from that and most of those injured folks are gone now.

It appears that even those injuries might have been the result of coaching practices. You look at Kubiak's approach and some others in the NFL and you can see there might be a definite link. In any event, this is not last year and our personnel are very different and certainly the coaching staff is unquestionably different. I think there is plenty of reason to be optomistic and enjoy what is instore for us this year.

I think the 1st preseason game is going to tell us a lot. That game is going to tell us a story as will the succedding preseason games. I'm looking for us to shake up some people and see some eye brows raised. I want to see improvement in every preseason game.

He ONLY predicted that they would win the Super Bowl in year 1. What, no world domination, no inter-galatic game for domination of the solar system? I mean, pffft, what a pessimist. And he calls himself a fan? I'm ashamed, I'm very ashamed. :homer:

Dose of reality: The Vegas over/under for total Texans victories this year is 5.5. As far as Moulds goes, I wouldn't trust anyone who walks off the field, declares, "I don't have to do what the head coach says" twice and then gets suspended for conduct detrimental to the team.

I'm also very optimistic.
I say we go 7-9.
New systems on O and D will hurt us.
DD's shaky knee will hurt us.
I'm just hoping we can be in the top 15 in offense and defense by the end of the year.
