Kubiak's Treasure Chest!

Kubiak really has a something brewing that is kind of intriguing. DD keeps saying that his knee is really responding well even though he's not practicing. When he does do activities his knee is respoding by not swelling. He says its feeling as good as it has felt in a long time. They are simply not going to rush him. I believe they think they have one of the smartest and best backs in the league. DD is watching and taking in the practices and knows what he is suppose to do. Kubiak doesn't mind this because it keeps the rest of the league and us guessing about DD. My guess he is really healthy and they simply are going to let everything heal for as long as possible.

To me what keeps coming up roses is the talk of the WR and TE part of our game. In today's media post on the minicamp you read a lot of praise with respect to Armstrong and Moulds. Have the Texans unwhittingly developed the best WR core in the NFL and can't believe what they have? Is this causing Kubiak to rethink how he plans to attack the oppositions this year? Common wisdom would be that Kubiak is going to run the ball down everyone's throat. Certainly what he did in Denver would indicate that.

However, our team is beginning to look very much like the 49er team with outstanding WR's like Rice and a very good running back. Remember, Kubiak was a part of that scheme to. Remember, the 49ers set up the running game by establishing the passing game. Yes, the opposite attack. Smith has indicated with scouting they will not necessarily do exactly what Denver did. Kubiak has said similar things. I think we are going to be very surprised by what they do and so is the rest of the league.

Keep and eye on what is going on with the receiver core. We have an exceptional one and they are very young except for Moulds. He's the glue though that is helping to put all of this together..........

Our offensive weapons makes me drool

The best part, if we can get people to focus on our receiving threats more they will take a step back on the applied pressure, making it even easier for us. :redtowel:

Im just hoping that our offense can be as close to balanced as possible so that we can have our WRs and RBs compliment each other. Balance is the key to any dynamic offense, and thats what I think ours has the ability to do.

I understand why you feel the way you do. However, I still say the scheme I'm talking about affords the least, but most effective use of DD. In other words you don't wear your RB out, but rather use him when you wear the other team out to finish them off. When they are afraid of the pass a back like DD becomes very effective. Just don't be surprised if you see this kind of attack. There is more than one way to skin a cat.

Carr is NO Montana and Andre although very good is NO Jerry Rice. If we pass to setup the run, we're dead!

Good thread, Ibar, and I agree. I think our offense is going to surprise a lot of fans this year, just on talent alone. Add in the mix of an offensive mind like Kubiak & Co., plus a whole new attitude, and I expect a very exciting season.

So your saying you have to have either Joe Montana or Jerry Rice in order to have a good enough passing game to set up the run with it. Wow....Colts, Vikings, and Eagles have been playing way over their head for about 3 seasons now.

Why? I think Montana and Rice were AMAZING.....does that many others can't follow their lead?
