Vince Young getting frustrated...........

On Tuesday's NFL Total Access they had Keith Bullock on the show. He was talking about how Young is getting really frustrated trying to learn the Titans plays. I guess he on the "McNair" plan (ride the pine for a couple season's) so its looks like it might be a while before we see him.

imagine that...

I'm not surprised at all by this. And who know if Keith Bullock is telling the truth or not??? It takes all rookie qbs sometime to learn the plays and stuff and VY is no different in that aspect. Once he gets a grasp of things he'll be just fine.

Vince Young is the first rookie QB in the history of the NFL to ever have trouble picking up a new pro offense during a preseason mini-camp.

I said it long time ago that Vince Young ran a very basic one-read style offense at UT and that he would have a LONNNNG learning curve..

But of course people didnt believe me and thought he was gonna come in and throw for 3000 and run for 1000..

I'll give him another 2 or 3 years before he can actually get it together..

Wasnt bein defensive...i just asked a question...I just wanted to know what drives a hater....For my own benifit of course....But you don't have to answer if you don't want to....

VERY true............And everyone knows it, it will take him longer then most to get it down to were he is comfortable.

People dont understand that the NFL is the best of the best, it is NOT easy.

My brother is in HS and plays football and I always tell him to go to a College that runs a NFL type offense, so he can be ready comming out, if that is what his future holds for him.

Cause SOME people want to see a person fail, so they can be the first to say I told you so.

I am not a big VY guy at all but I do respect him cause he has a family and all he is trying to do is support them...........Did I agree or like some things he said while this draft deal was going on, NO, but I do not hate the guy.

Haters are haters who wish they had that kind of money and had that kind of athletic abillity and had that players life. Some like to kick a guy any time they get a chance, bible says "some people cant lay down to rest unless they made some one else feel bad or say something hurt full" (not exact words).

Same problem in UT in the first season. Mack new game plan:
1. Look Left
2. Look Right
3. Run
4. Repeat on next down

No surprise

Okay, example: You like vince, right? You want to see him succeed and win superbowls, etc.

Me? I hate the guy. I want him to break both his legs and fall face first into a pile of crap. He's not on my team, so i want him to fail.

it's pretty simple.

I thought we stopped this stuff, Mods? What does this have to do with football?

He might be a Titan, but to wish a guy breaks both of his legs is a cold statement. I am a UT fan but I am also a Texans fan, so i will be cheering against our divison rivals. I am thankful for what Vince did for UT, but now that he is a Titan i will not be pulling for him. However, to wish for another person's injury is an awful statement to make. Cheer for the team, root for the team to win, but dont wish for injuries to occur to someone else. I hope you are joking becuase if you aren't I have lost a little respect for you and that dissapoint me, because I do like your posts usually.

calm down, please. I'd never ACTUALLY want vince young to experience anything so horrible. I just didn't think anyone would actually take that so seriously.

again, i don't really want the guy to break his legs, man. maybe a high ankle sprain and a turf toe or something.

Look some people will hate other players simply because they don't wear their team color. And there are some of us who support their teams and still want to see their other favorite players to succeed. Still it doesn't make sense why some people here "hate" VY when he hasn't even played a down of NFL football. Rooting for VY or any other doesn't make you a bad fan contrary to some people here. I hope VY has all the success in the world except when he plays us. As a Houstonian I would love to see him succeed in the NFL.:)

Look, i don't have to justify my hatred for vince young to anyone, just as i don't need to justify my feelings for the texans.

As long as there are people, there will be some people that others hate, it's in our nature.

I don't hate every NFL athlete that isn't a texan, my second favorite NFL player is Chad Johnson. I just hate vince young. So what if i think he's a bit of a dullard. That shouldn't make anyone defensive. It's just my opinion.

[edit] I'm going to hate the guy until he proves himself in the NFL. That's how i am with almost all overhyped rookies in the NFL. the only exceptions are OUR overhyped rookies. Simply because they're ours.

Yea it is in our nature to HATE people:ok: I think it is called jealousy..........

...or...perhaps it is because he's a Titan? :ok:

Probably every rookie, particularly the first 10 picks are a little frustrated right now. They are taking a big step in competition level with high expectations and learning more complex systems. That just goes with the territory.

Just because it is reported Vince is frustrated in late May, one month after he was drafted, means he is riding the pine for 2 years and following the same path McNair did. They are two different players in different times and on different teams (meaning players and coaches).

Regardless of where Vince is in late May, he could put it together to start playing in the upcoming season or starting at the beginning of the following season. Who knows? A lot is going to happen for all these rookies in the next couple of months, some will shine, some won't, and some will shine sooner, rather than later. We'll just have to see what happens.

He still hasn't gone through training camp. Before then, turn off the :stirpot: .

ah, the jealousy card. one of the more difficult strategems to deflect.

Honestly, the only thing i have against the guy is that he's not a texan. I don't really wish any harm on him except when he plays the texans. other than that, i'm pretty apathetic to mr. super vince young..

I will challenge that statement. You don't even have to answer this post but answer to yourself honestly. Has there never been a point in the last four years, watching Peyton Manning rip apart our D yet again, that you wished manning's head would explode or at the very least stubbed his toe and was out for the rest of the game?

Of course, but...I plead innocent by insanity. :chicken:

I am sure at some point Vince will remind everyone that it wasn't his choice, he made it clear who he wanted to play for, :texans: .

Vince said he won't forget who passed on him, which means for Texans fans, :hides: .

So if Vince performs and stick it to us, we can always thank our owner, Mr. McNair, for his decision every time we pay our season tickets.

Get ready to groan: should we blame McNair, or should we blame Kubiak?

I don't. I hope he fails misserably and is so bad instead of saying "the next Ryan Leaf" we start saying "the next Vince Young".

A successfull Vince Young means a successfull Titans organization and that makes Bud Adams happy. It will be a cold day let me tell you before I would ever hope that man any pleasentness or joy.

I would sooner root for the Cowboys and that will only happen after I grow a third arm out of my hind quarters.

To each his own. If seeing VY fail makes you happy then so be it. I think a healthy Titans and Texans team can only enhance the rivalry between our teams.

That's probably the greatest single post i've ever read.

excuse me, i've got tears to wipe.

It's a damn shame i have to 'spread around the rep' before i can hand you some for that masterpiece.

No, you mistaken me. Its nothing against Vince Young, I hate Bud Adams and the state of Tenn. It may not be his fault, but he plays there.

I hate Bud Adams as well and even though I wasn't here to experience the traumatic experience of the Oilers leaving. I can certainly understand your feelings regarding the Titans organization. I've never been to Tennesse so I can't say for sure what is wrong with them. I'll always be a VY fan regardless of how he turns out to be in the NFL or where he plays. That's all there is to it.

You know what would make a good rivalry? How about we crush them, lets say, every game for the next 5 years, and they become extremely hungry for a win. That would be a good rivalry.

Maybe he should remember that he chose to come out. He came out right after the rose bowl when everyone said he would be the #1 pick. He thought he would get picked up by the Texans so it's his fault for making that assumption and that decision. He could have stayed another yr. and we could have avoided the whole situation. Now he's a Titan, he could've still been a Longhorn, but oh well.

So if he led the league in interceptions thrown and fumbles lost, you'd be able to look us in the eyes and say you're still a fan?

Why is it so hard to fathom that Young is struggling right now? Geez, it's only been a month since the draft where he's had to learn a new system, a pro system, learn the terminology, learn his new players, learn new defenses, learn to get accustomed to his new surroundings. It really isn't smart to think that Young can step right in and light this team on fire, he's a rookie QB. If I were the Titans I'd make him sit no matter how far along he's progressed becaue he will gain valuable time to assess the competition and the speed of the game better when he is able to step back and take it all in. I am not a beleiver of the "trial by fire" montra.

Why not? Just because he could have bad year I'm going to stop being his fan??? Look I'm not going to change my position and I'm sure your not trying to get me to change my position. I've seen VY play when he was in Madison and I've seen him play at UT and I've seen almost all of his games. I'm just a fan of his and I think he's going to be a star in the league. Some of you have this confused as being a Titans fan. Nothing could be further from the truth. I wish him luck and I want to see him do well except when he plays the Texans. It's not that hard to understand folks.

the sooner you young homers realize that he's an idiot the sooner you can accept that he'll fail miserably in the NFL.

Thats cool...I just don't think its right to wish harm on someone just because they play for an opposing TEAM...if your family member was a titan would u still want Super Mario to break them in 2 ???

I don't know how this turned into a win loss thing...because honestly I hope the Texans Crush the Titans everytime we play them, and who ever else we play for that matter...But I just think it's wrong to wish and hope for injury just because he plays on a different team...And i do enjoy watching your hater-ish comments so keep up the good Work...:ok: :tease:

First, if I had a family member who played for the Titans I wouldn't admit to it.

Second, if that family member stood in the way of the Texans getting to or winning the superbowl then yes, I do hope Mario comes from off the mountain top and lay the biggest stompin on them. They knew the risk. They were warned.
