Texans eye Saints' Mueller

OzzO

.. and then?
Okay, so I thought reviewing the Bears GM was out in left field... now looking at the Saints director?

The Texans will continue to interview more candidates for their general manager's vacancy after Memorial Day weekend. On Thursday, Texans owner Bob McNair received permission from the New Orleans Saints to interview Rick Mueller, their director of player personnel.

Mueller, who will interview at Reliant Stadium on Tuesday, will be the third candidate to speak with the Texans. Denver Broncos assistant general manager Rick Smith and Green Bay Packers director of pro personnel Reggie McKenzie have already interviewed.

Mueller has spent the past five seasons with the Saints and has overseen all aspects of their scouting department. He is responsible for their last five drafts and their last five free-agent classes....

Interesting at the end they note McKenzie and Smith are still top of the list... of course they're the only ones through the interview as of yet.

We give N.O. a huge gift and then its like we are trying to get something in return and recover some of the loss in other ways. Can we please leave the Saints alone already or are we goaling ourselves to become them?

lol I know there are already some good canidates and we all know how amazing N.O. has done recently.

Interviewing Mueller is part of our Katrina relief package. People think he's being interviewed for general manager but he's really checking the mileage to San Antonio so Benson can find out how much it would cost to move.
