Pictures from todays practice...

Thanks Andy. I've really been enjoying seeing these photos. Cool to see the new guys in Texans gear.

Thanks for the pictures!!! I would rather look at these than most of the sports on TV these days. I was surprised to see #37 out there... but I assume he still isn't doing much on the knee correct?

Go Texans! :redtowel:

Before I was skeptical about him playing weakside DE .... but dear god!

Hello Peyton, meet Mario Williams... what? don't want to go that way? ok, here's Peek, he'll show you around the grass, oh.... don't like him either?, Dunta will be here shortly then... BAM

Damn Mario is one big mofo. Moulds looks a lot bigger than i thought, i always thought he was a little leaner but he's built pretty solid much like Andre.

I can tell in the pics that Carr is looking at the field instead of the defenders when dropping back on the snap.

EDIT: I can't tell if it's Carr or Ragone......................

Moulds is friggin' jacked.
Peek scares me.

Peek and Mario are MASSIVE.... I'm scared .... They'll find me and eat me.

That's what I was thinking! My gosh look at Peek's arms! I know he has trouble keeping weight on during the season, but if he can...

Babin looks bigger, too. Btw, I don't remember seeing Ragone, just Carr and Rosenfels (if he is #18). I especially liked seeing the receiver pics with David Anderson. This guy is like a Steve Largent clone. I saw him playing for Colorado State.

Awesome pix Andy - Thanx!!!

Man Mario is huge!!! - Is it just me or does it look like they dont have a jersey size big enough for him?? It looks like they put a childs shirt on him GEEZ!!! :superman: :redtowel:

I like those bookend Receivers too!! Moulds and AJ look like they are quickly getting on the same page - heck they could almost pass for brothers. Hopefully both will have solid healthy years ahead!!

DD's knee looked fine in the pix allthough he wasnt running drills he was dressed enough to catch balls on the field and do some running. I hope the delay is just excess muscle strain from him rehabbing to get ready for this season!

Come on August!!!! :bananasplit: :fans:

Yesterday I pulled up the roster and sorted by number while I was looking at the pictures. Helped out a lot when I didn't know who I was looking at.

How are you able to go to practices? Are they open to the public?

Thats what i've been wondering myself. I heard a couple callers on 610 yesterday discussing what was going on at practice too, speaking is if they were there watching. :hmmm:

If so, i'll be calling in soon and heading up to watch myself.

Heh...when did we get Polamolu?

SS Michael Stone. Kubiak likes him. Brought up his name specifically at the luncheon a couple of weeks ago, so he's a guy to watch. (and if I'm Ramon Walker, I'm worried - or at least working a little harder)

Hey Andy...

Maybe you can enlighten us... you are pretty close to the sit down meeting at the end of practices where Kubiak is preaching... any chance you can share what Kube's is saying?

Don't want to get you in trouble so if you can't say, then that's cool.

Would be great to hear what Kube's is talking to the team about... or at least to know if it is more motivational, instructional, overview of the program... anything!

Great photos... My favorite is the picture of poor Kailee Wong working out with his rubber band.

Poor guy, he has a strained look like he can't figure it out... but he is from Stanford so I am sure he is just thinking about molecular physics of something.

Thanks!

Thank you so much Andy.

Gives us guys that can't be there to see what's going on behind the scene.

Great photos!!:yahoo:

:muscles:

That's a bad man...

I want a pick of Williams, next to TJ, next to Peek, next to Babin, next to Demeco, next to D-Rob...... all with angry faces...:hide: and flexing

I think Peek will be playing under a controlled psychosis this year, of which I'm fearful for the opposing quarterback or whoever else he deems as the enemy.

They also will need to update his info. That is not a 250 individual. I'm stoked on what he is going to do in this new scheme.

I don't think Mario has an ounce of fat in his body! I knew he was built -- but I didn't know he was...like that!

:hides:

yeah swish that's the pic that caught my eye the most, Mario was NOT fooled by that play fake

Well....I wonder how fooled anyone is after watching the same set of plays for 3 days. I think the defense has a big advantage right now.

For instance, most of the players are going 85-90% in these workouts, working on footwork, technique, teamwork, etc. A defensive end at anytime can just decide to work on his speed rush, kick it up to 100%, and blow by anybody. I don't think an "everyone should always go 100%" argument works here either - they aren't even in pads.

I imagine the fight between Smith and Flanagan the first day started out with one person going too hard for a practice with no pads, the other brought it up a notch, and pretty soon they are rolling around on the ground together.

They are still learning the new system right now, almost no one is showing all they have.

That being said, I'd be scared with Williams coming at me unblocked.

They keep us back far enough that we can't overhear much, but me and AJ (from Voice of the Fan) were close enough to here him being a little upset the other day about the scuffle between players. He said something like

I love seeing the fight in you guys...I just don't want to see the fights between you guys...

Since I didn't have this job last year at this time to see how Capers ran this, but from watching the training camp last year, it seems that the team is at the same intensity right now that they were in July and Aug of last year. If they can just keep building that up...I can't wait to see how intense they are at the start of the season...

Our two starting DEs, pretty nice size and nice athleticism for both of them, I think we will finally have a 40+ sack defense:

Peek is on swools, going to be a tough group with Peek and Mario. I am calling them the "Mean Machine"Mario and Peek will feed off each other, that is scary.

The question still remains....can Peek be a smart player. If he can, we might have something cooking.

The older I get the Wiser I get.
I hope he will be all right
Peek after a sack-:headbang: :taz:

just curious, but does anyone know which QB was running 2nd team and which one was running 3rd? How about the 2 rookie QB's?

Every year it seems as if Peek adds an additional 10 lbs of muscle. Good to see the guys hit the weight room this offseason. Like everyone said...new coaching staff...every position is up for grabs. Impressing the new coaches is a must. Performing on the field is a priority.

Rosenfels on the 2nd team, Ragone on the 3rd team but I think Quinton Porter will overtake Ragone before mini camps are over with.

Is Weaver going to play DT or end?? Does anybody have any idea what our starting line will look like on opening day????

Weaver will play some of both, but at this point not even the coaches know for sure what the line will look like on opening day.
