In business you make a decision and move on. The Texans have made a decision despite all of the best advice from McClain and Justice and its time to move on because nothing will change that decision. A decision was made and an action was taken. Mario is the player we chose in the draft and nothing can change it.

Its now time for them and us to move on and hear what is happening to the team and how the players are coming together. Justice and McClain seem to be bitter because nobody would listen to them. Well, McClain and Justice are not the decision makers for the team. Other people are and they should show them the respect they deserve. It was not an easy decision, but they had to make one and get on with it. I bet everyone of us could look at the draft and say we didn't like something they did, but the fact is it is over and done with and its time to move on. It can't be changed.

I would like to hear some reports on Sherman, Moulds, Carr, Walters, Mathis, young Shan, Coach Smith. There is a ton of reports that could be done that would interest the Houston readership and Texans fans across the country. Kubiak is a wealth of information and if you listen to the man you will hear a man who plays the NFL chess game. He has a reason for everything he does and he speaks basically without notes. He has it all in his mind and he knows where he's going and I suspect the weakness and strengths of everyone on the ball club.

I listen to Kubiak in awe, because he is a very rare football mind. He is a young Walsh. What is amazing is he is suppose to have been a poor communicator. Every time I have listened to the man he has more than convinced me why he's doing what he did. He has one big trait that Capers didn't have and that is he can think on his feet and on the run. Nothing is going to bother him or get by him on the field of play. Houston fans we struck pay dirt and you should sit back and enjoy the ride.

Anyway, GOOOOOOO TEEEEXANS......................

They continue to report on it because its what the majority of people want to hear. Sure you'd like to hear the real meat and potatoes of whats going on, but the average joe fan wants to know why we passed on reggie, and how big of a mistake it was. Thats conflict, and thats what sells papers. So while football is a business, you must realize that radio/newspapers/television are all businesses too, and they'll do what they have to do to up their ratings.

Probably so and they are going to miss the real story.

Its sort of sad because theres so much stuff they could be talking about right now. I think the RB MW debate is great, and I'm still thinking about it, but I'd love to hear some of the other stuff too. How are the new players adjusting, when is camp, has Kubiak spoken to everyone, etc.

And I am in awe with this strange comparison. How many SBs has Walsh won? How many games has Walsh won? And how many games as a HC has Kubiak won? Kubiak is a young Walsh? Uh, not yet. Give him, oh about 10 years and we'll look at it again.

Let me get this right, when Walsh was young he was winning SB's? Can somebody define young? I just hope the choice of Kubiak will eventually lead to a SB or two.

Here is Bill Walsh's career. He won his first SB at 50. I don't really see anything where he was an assisstant for a SB winning team. I can tell you this. He won his first SB before free agency. Kubiak will have to find a formula to win the SB while dealing with FA. Whose SB will be a greater accomplishment? Personally I think Bill Bellichek is a more amazing coach than Walsh IMHO.

I think that if you look at all of my posts with respect to Kubiak I'm referring to the mental part of the game. He has indeed been to a lot of SB's as an assistant or as part of the team. As a HC he has not, in fact, I dare say won a game yet. But I believe he does posess the mental part of the game and he knows what he is doing. He's going to be a great coach.

I have to hand it to CC and Kubiak, they are really sticking behind Mario because he really is a great prospect and a even better guy, he just happened to walk into this, and I also think it is great that CC is not going anywere, probably old news but I heard it this mourning on ESPN.

I hope that is the case and I said he deserved a contract extension and a raise. That will really go over well with some of you.

If people will look at CC when Kubiak first came and now when he is with Kubiak, you will see a world of difference in CC's expressions. Quite frankly I attribute this to Kubiak's ability to pull people into a team and win them over. I think that Kubiak and CC began to realize that they needed each other's abilities. CC has always been a facilitator and Kubiak supplied a list of what he needed. CC showed him how it was accomplished and how to deal with those aspects of the game. What has happened couldn't have been done without both of them working together. Yes, the word is TEAM WORK the heart and soul of what Kubiak talks about.

Ibar, couldn't have said it better. Kubiak is going to be great! Did you hear some of the news with those two guys bragging about how great the other one was to work with. Finally, TEAM work! That's what has been missing all along. I'm just so glad we haven't had to hear the word "execute" in some time.

I agree with you, Ibar. It would be nice to see different angles of the organization covered by the local media. And I would hope that we see this from our local fishwrap once the season draws near.

But with regards to McClain/Justice; They are sour grapes. I have absolutely no respect for either of them at this point, and find far more insightful writing among many of our more informed posters.

Our Web message board had the info on Smith before the Web site and I have yet to find anything in the Chronicle on Smith or Wiegert. Is there a little freeze out going on? Let me know if I'm wrong.

Two things. First, I hope we are never indudated with the word 'execute' or any form of it (once in awhile, ok) and- second- can Kubiak roam the sidelines with a 'little' emotion and NO NOTE PAD?:yahoo:

The real story being that we passed on a sure thing to pick up a guy who was benched midway thru his Senior season??? Why would we want to focus on something positive like that.

There are no "sure things" in the NFL.
