Let's just say the Texans would have held on and beat Baltimore or Tennessee or St Louis or even San Francisco, pick any two. Didn't McNair say at one point that he wanted the Texans to win 2 of the last 4 games so he could justify keeping Capers? So let's say we pulled out two of those close losses. Capers would likely still be the HC, we wouldn't have had the #1 pick, and the entire offseason would have been totally different. I say let's be thankful for a new beginning! I mean watching the Capers led Texans was about as bad as watching the Steve Francis led Rockets. As much as I love the teams, it was unbearable to watch.

You do realize that the McGrady led teams haven't gone any further than they did yet. They probably will though.

Capers runs a 3-4...unless they converted Mario to LB they would have had no use for him.

It didn't stop us from taking Travis Johnson last year who clearly was suited to play in the 4-3 and nothing else.

The silver lining being that this year's best DL and last years best DL are going to be playing on the same line.
