Gosselin got 87 of the top 100.

His last three years are 87 this year, 88 last year, and 87 the year before that.

Anybody still doubt why Goose is considered the best at this.

FYI Kiper went 79 this year,76 last and 81 before that.

We went 77. Not what I was hoping for, but still up there.

Some of the guys that went in the Top 100 were very surprising to me.

Well, heck.

I was only projecting for the Texans through the 3rd round, not the draft as a whole and I got 61 of the top 75 - 80.56%. Hey, I beat Kiper without even trying! :)

That final 25 is what kills people. We had 70 until then. The eighties and nineties tend to go downhill in a big way with teams picking more specific to scheme.

Why did you do 75 when you were projecting for the Texans and they picked at 65 and 66?

It's funny...I had talked to Goose before the draft in emails and when comparing our lists I thought it was crazy he had guys like Owen Daniels, Rashad Butler, David Thomas, etc on it. Then they went. Ugh.

Goes to show, asking NFL teams who they're going to pick is alot easier then trying to predict it.

The Cowboys must've been paying attention to Gosselin's list...

18. Bobby Carpenter OLB Ohio State - Drafted 18th by Dallas
54. Anthony Fasano TE Notre Dame - Drafted 53rd by Dallas
88. Jason Hatcher DE Grambling State - Drafted 92nd by Dallas

Houston did the same, if not better:

2. Mario Williams - Drafted 1st
36 Demeco Ryans - Drafted 33rd
59. Charles Spencer - Drafted 65th
31. Eric Winston - Drafted 66th

Going by Goose's top 100 we had a really good draft, and he agress saying we had the best 3rd round of anybody.

Just imagine how much better it'd look if you drafted Bush. ;)

The Texans should have had the best 3rd round of anybody. They had the top 2 picks of the round. That's like giving the Texans credit for using a spoon rather than a fork to eat their soup.

lmao... i love it. Yeah i think they had a bit of an advantage picking the first 2 in the 3rd over everyone else

In reviewing Gosselin's list, I'm reminded of the biggest shocker of the Draft
(next to us passing on you know who). He has no less that 4 O tackles, including our 2nd pick of the third round, among the top 32 picks of the Draft. And there are few positons rated more valuable than OLTs. And this
initially was rated to be a very good year for the O tackles.
A lot of the explanation of this was because many were said to be concerned about "character" issues re Winston Justice. OK, but McNeil, the next tackle taken aftet Justice, wasn't taken until like the 50 th pick. That's the second half of the second round. We're talking offensive tackles here. Wierd ?

Goose has been #1 on the mock draft ratings for like 4 or 5 years now.

Hes definatly the best.

Goose was saying, on draft day, that McNeil's back injury(s) were turning some people off.
