A bit of news about some prospects in the draft that could severely alter thier draft status.

I dont have links to legit articles. So feel free to take this as rumors or slander.

#1. Anthony Fasano (TE) revealed that he has a plate and screws in his back from a highschool injury. This will drastically lower his stock by some teams because it will become an issue eventually in his career.

#2. Jimmy Williams (CB) Is thought to have Bipolar disorder. This would explain his odd behavior in team interviews. This will obviously cause a large drop in his stock.. maybe even out of the first day.

#3. Alan Zemaitis (CB) has failed 4 team physicals and been removed from some teams boards. Rumored to be due to shoulder and elbow injuries. Also a large possible drop in his draft stock.

#4. Matt Lienart (QB) was placed as a medical risk by three teams due to some weaknesses in his left shoulder.
 
Wait, there are players available in the draft not named Bush, Young, and Williams?!?!? This changes everything!

Interesting post Grid, especially the CB issues as I would like to see us get one on the 1st day.

Most people with Bipolar disorder can be treated with medication and psycotherapy. I don't think his stock will fall more than it already has and he should still go in the mid/late 1st, unless he insists on being a corner. Then he could slip mid round 2. Even if he is one of the minority who can't be treated, is manic depression really enough to knock him out of the first day?

MMMMMMM. Interesting. That may be why he has more of in interest about the glamour side of his football career. I wonder why that info isn't out in the open.

Normally I would say no.. but there has been more than one case of football players with bipolar disorder doing really stupid/crazy stuff..despite medication. I think that will scare some people off.

If he is available in the third, that would be a real interesting choice to have to make.
 
If he's available in the 3rd I think we'd be crazy not to take him. He's the second or third best saftey prospect in the draft, and a 3rd rounder isn't much of a risk since we usually throw them away on projects.
 
The whole bi-polar thing was just a rumor and was clearified bt VT's head coach Frank Beamer whenever he wrote a letter about the character of Jimmy Williams and how he was a leader on the defense.
