Tennessee leaning towards Vince

Out in L.A. today, the ESPN Radio affiliate had Frank Wycheck on and said that Tennessee was leaning towards Vince Young.

I think Tennessee is trying to float the rumor so that NYJets don't lobby to move up to draft Leinart, thereby getting Leinart to themselves at #3.

I only caught a recap of the interview so it is a little unclear as to Wycheck's current role on the team. Either way, it would appear that the trade down scenario for Houston is being met with major resistance.

everything i've heard indicates they're stuck between cutler and leinart. but since they stupidly took pacman over rolle or rogers last year, i wouldn't be surprised if they took young.

I was surprised just because it was the USC radio station that I was listening to. Again, I think it is an example of a floated rumor to ensure that they get Leinart at #3, but that is just me.

The Pacman thing shows you how little Bush's stock will be hurt by this new deal. Maybe if its a dead heat and Mario's far cheaper, it could tip the balance in his favor. Not really relevant, but Pacman's the king of character q's.

they've said they love young, they've said they love leinart, they've said they love cutler, etc. they're covering all their bases. cutler seems like the obvious choice here.

I agree. They really want Leinart, but would'nt mind taking Cutler if Leinart is gone by pick #3.

The GM and owner over rule a coach who is on his way out and an offensive cordinator, if anyone can pull off this trade its Mr.davis

I don't have any inside scoop on the Titans but from what I have heard from what few media sources I consider somewhat credible, it sounds like certain people in their organization (esp. Norm Chow) prefer Matt Leinart, while certain people (Reese) prefer Vince Young. One guy is in charge of running the offense and being the biggest factor in whether the QB and system fit each other, the other is in charge of the overall team, so it will be interesting to see how things work out over there. Either way I'm mainly concerned with what we do with our picks and picks that will influence who we end up getting, and the Titans pick doesn't generate much interest to me.

the titans really have a hard choice they have to choose between to potential MVP Qb's in leinert and young. if the titans really wanted cutler they would trade down all the way to eleven and they would still be reaching for him.
