brand new trade in the works

The update basically says that the big deal is dead. Too complicated and no one would end up with what they want.

I didn't really buy that big trade deal anyways, too many moves for unproven players.

If that deal actually happens, things could go very badly for Oakland. Contrary to popular belief, NYJ's want ML. He will be as big as Namath. For sake of thinking out load, this is what happens:

1. NYJ (From HOU) Lienart

2. NO Bush, Ferguson or Williams. Would not be suprised to see SF call to get rights to Bush but if NO keeps the pick they would take Ferguson or Williams or just might suprise everyone and take Bush.

3. OAK(From TENN) Feeling awfully screwed over, might take VY here or trade out of the pick. If Bush is available, might be able to save face and trade pick with SF.

4. HOU(From NYJ) Williams, if by chance NO takes Williams then we still come out fine if we get Ferguson, R2-36, R4-132 and next years R1 pick, which should be fairly high.

There is no sense in projecting beyond this point because the 4 players mentioned; ML, DF, MW or RB are the only players anyone will trade up for. VY is the 5th player if OAK gets left hanging and cannot ditch the pick. Teams with a desire and any chance of getting HOU, NO or TENN to swap positions are TENN, NYJ, SF or OAK. SF and OAK chances fall squarely with TENN or NYJ willing to deal out.

this deal makes so little sense i can't believe people are still following it. the titans have no need for another receiver, especially one that costs as much as porter. second of all, this rumor started from that bongo guy's thread, where he mentioned an "afc west" team had attempted to trade up with the titans. naturally, everyone assumes it's the raiders, but in reality, the BRONCOS are the ones that tried to move up with tennessee, back when they still had 2 first rounders. now we got a purple monkey dishwasher thing going here, and this deal that's "close to being done" is completely fabricated.

bongo is a guy from a titan's board who started this rumor a few days ago. the raiders don't want a QB, don't get your hopes up. expect michael huff.

oh i'm sure. as a fan of the raiders you should know that al davis doesn't like drafting QB's in the first round, especially the year after drafting the future franchise QB in the 3rd round and after signing aaron brooks AND after spending the last month building up to the possibility of drafting a QB. it's set in stone. the raiders aren't drafting a QB.

Rizzock please don't argue with dolphin head. He's ALL KNOWING. I think him and miss cleo are brother and sister.

It amazes me that you know it all already so why even waste your time with us mere mortals. Let someone have their opinion if they so please. Yours is no more right than anyone else's.
