i wouldn't be that surprised if tennessee took young. afterall, these idiots took pacman over antrel rolle or carlos rogers.
 
Kas I was suprised at that also, and was hoping Carlos or Derrick fell to us, but I will not rehash that. I doubt they take anyone other than Leinhart unless he is gone or Reggie Bush falls to them.
 
Definitely not the best mock I've seen so far...

The fact that we have no secondary and don't take a DB in the first 4 picks is pretty shortsighted. I like ILB for the future, but taking a DE in the 3rd is pretty off base.

I would say LOL at Vince at the 3rd spot as well, but for some crazy reason, I am going to reserve laughter until later.
 
how can something be accurate when the event hasn't happened yet?

I think VY goes before Leinart too though....but then again...I think for myself and form my opinons around viewing the game...and not on rumors or 3rd party opinions.

If this mock comes out to be true, The Texans are looking very good in the second round. We're talking Jonathan Scott and Eric Winston being available.
 
It's interesting that one reason this mock has Young going to Tennessee is that McNair is Young's mentor. However, McNair has been barred from the facility and will likely be released unless he renegotiates his contract. Young will not be ready to start an NFL game next season, most people agree, and Matt Leinart, while he still shouldn't start, would be better suited for it. I think that Bud Adams would actually be an idiot (well, prove to be a bigger idiot than I thought) if he wanted to pick Vince Young simply to get back at people in Houston.

It's extremely difficult to pick that high based on potential because if that potential doesn't pan out, you are picking in those top five again for many seasons to come. Also, you are stuck with that extremely large contract to deal with, in addition to the other high draft picks that you will be picking in the future.

That's a big risk that I'm not sure any GM would put his job on the line for, no matter who he prefers.

I'm not sure that any draft in the past couple of months had Jonathan Scott in the first round. For some reason, I though he had dropped to the third, but I might be wrong.
