I had a Dream....

Rookie
I was sitting in the War room of my own franchise, I had the number one pick, it was loaded with talent, but there was a once in a lifetime player to pick at #1. I called my GM asked him to make the choice. As Paul Tagliabue took the stage, I heard some bum that we drafted from Middle Tennessee State. I got angry and demanded a live TV interview with my GM. AS the GM was coming to the camera, he started actually coming through my TV screen I turned, looked closer, and my face screamed like the faces in the "The Ring" (The Movie), Charley Casserly was my GM! Good thing, I didn't die from the experience, so For all the rest of the franchises, I took the tape and destroyed it, hoping, that no owner again would feel the pain and anguish I experienced! just thought I would share....lol:brickwall

Ha! You, sir, win a cookie.

It reminds me of the sports radio commercials I've heard from time to time:
"With the fourth pick in the 2006 NFL draft, the New York Jets select Santiago Grammatica, Kicker, University of South Florida." And then the crowd starts booing heavily.

That's weird, my dream involved deep frying some chocolate covered strawberries. You need to let some of this stuff go when the lights go out.

Nightmare..

The texans manage to do some creative trading and end up with #1 AND #5 overall and no 2nd or third round picks. we get bush and brick. Brick tears his acl during preseason-ending his season. o-line is reshuffled. In an effort to still protect carr, run blocking is sacrificed.reggie is still able to run freely because of crazy talents and speed but halfway through the season- bush breaks his leg in freak pile-up in the backfield. David's getting killed again now and we suck again...and end up with the #4 pick next year. Casserly trades our #4 pick to get Corey bradford back.

Of course i am kidding but man.....that would suck! and could only happen in a dream.

seriously though, I think the texans are going to be a top 10 offense next year if we take Bush considering all of the weapons we'll have. Especially if we take best o-line pick available after that, then the rest on defense.

Does anyone think this is like groundhogs day with Casserly? It seems each year he goes out of his way to try and make something, when all he has to do is go along with what is already in front of him. Quit trying to be a genuis and just take the right people for our new system.

I totally agree. Too many times, he tries to be the smartest kid in the room. Quit trying to outsmart everyone with some plum pick from Northwest Idaho Community College in the 3rd. When he tries most to look like a genius is when he most looks like an idiot. :brickwall

For a second there i thought you were gonna say Matt Stevens. :brickwall

If Casserly stops being Casserly, all the players that have little hope of being drafted before the 7th round would not have the lottery chance.:yahoo:
