Why the Texans will trade #1--

More I look at what we've done in FA, more I think we're trading out of #1 for any offer that's close. The reason is simple--Kubiak may not like or want marquee players. Look at the people we've picked up in free agency, grunts all. Not a hero among them. Moulds is closest and he's at the tail end of his career, so he's a 2 year purchase. The rest? A league of journeymen.

That tells me that IF WE HAVE A CHANCE of getting out from under the #1 pick and GETTING APPROXIMATE VALUE that we will.

This comes to a trade with the Titans, Jets, Denver, Oakland, Arizona, the Colts, or any other team that can, by hook or crook, put together a package that gives us the approximate 3000 points or equivalent in players plus picks.

Got this from David Carr's wife's jeweler's yard person's son.

Man ,this is getting old. We hear you!!! :brickwall

Ummm... I think that's an extremely stupid reason to trade down, and it's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. So we're not taking Bush because he's a "star", much less a "star" that has been nothing but an very likeable class act since we've known him? If anything, it's that "star" quality that keeps us from trading down!!! Sorry man, I'm usually not a flamer but what you said was pretty dumb.

no one is going to trade with us, they arent going to give us our asking price. the saints hold all the cards. unless someone wants reggie that badly, i dont see it.

You make it sound like the Texans think Bush is a something they don't want to get stuck with? Like they are desperate to get out of that spot. I think you are displacing your feelings on to the Texans. Similar to what people do to their dogs because they can't talk. If they were thinking about trading, I doubt it would be broadcast with desperation. We are talking alot of money involved in these transactions. I think they will ask people what they might trade for the pick, but I doubt they will take just whatever Bone anyone throws our way.

He is just P.O.ed that we are not taking VY and just keeps coming up with things to make people react. Basically, he has become a troll. Kind of sad actually.

Are you from some other country? Somewhere where reason don't reign? The point is that Kubiak can get three solid gamers for the one hero (Bush). Bush is not worth, say, D'Brick, Cromartie or Huff, and a top 10 pick next year, which is what a trade with the Jets might produce.

That's why we'll trade out.

Do you know that for a fact?
