Cover of Madden 2007?

My nominees:

Larry Johnson (though I don't think he's known enough yet)
Steve Smith (definite possibility, already has big national name)
Peyton Manning (obvious though he has yet to seriously advance in the playoffs, and I wouldn't mind a couple of Ws over the Colts even if I have the Madden curse to thank for it)
Shaun Alexander (though questions of heart)
 
The cover will feature whatever position they are claiming to be featuring in this years release. Last year it was the "year of the QB" with all the vision things and what not. Therefore we had D. McNabb. They have never had two positions be the same each year, and this year calls for either a new defensive upgrade or something for a WR or RB in my opinion (they are both kind of boring to utilize). Therefore I predict WR, RB, defense in that order.
 
Could be Tom Brady. He has kinda earned at least one cover. If we are going Defensive, than Ed Reed or Derik Brooks.
 
Julius Peppers would be first choice. Peyton and Tom Brady would be my second choice. Followed by Tiki Barber and Shaun Alexander.

Tom Brady has already been on a cover, dunno if it was madded but i know for a fact he was already a cover boy for some NFL game in 2002.

I can't remember a WR being on there lately so I'd say Chad Johnson or Steve Smith. Both are talented, well-known, and I'd say they're pretty likeable and entertaining. Maybe they'll develop the end zone celebration stick.

I really think mcnabb didnt deserve the cover and peyton got robbed.
 
the reason it won't be peyton manning is that he's always on the cover of the other NFL game...nfl fever or something...to on the cover is a real possibility...but i think it's going to be chad johnson who is quickly becoming the most recognizable receiver in the game
 
I also predict that both Reggie Bush and Vince young will be on the cover of NCAA football 07......
now they can really call it "Race for the Heisman"....:ok:

Peyton was on NFL Fever's cover a few years back wasn't he? I don't know if that affected his opportunity to be on the cover of Madden. Nice avatar, by the way, I'm at SFA too.

I hope they don't jump the gun and get Reggie Bush to dawn the cover...he is the greatest thing since the hit stick....it would sell like crazy with all the endorsements, he's about to make a big splash. then again so would VY.:stirpot:
 
its been a while since a running back was on the cover if my memory serves me correctly Eddie George was the last one.


if a running back was to make the cover i think Larry Johnson would be awsome i still remember how he owned the texans my favorite game of the season. but J. Peppers would be nice also:twocents:

But I don't honestly see how they plan to innovate the game more, so I'm giong to say they put a steeler on it. Defense = Troy Polamalu, Offense = Ben Roethlesberger.
 
Come on peeps, you have to think like Madden.

From what I have heard, this will be the last year it will be known as "Madden" Football. So the obvious choice would be himself!

I was thinking a coach (Bill Cowher) would be on the cover, but there is a new NFL game from EA coming out this summer...."NFL Head Coach", and BC is the cover boy! Seems like an awesome strategy game for any football fan!
 
white guys don't make the cover. it'll be shaun alexander, tomlinson, polamalu, chad johnson, steve smith....one of them.

I agree. Manning should be on the 06, not McNabb. 49 td passes.

But I would like to see Shawn Merriman on the cover this year.
