Every one knows by my posts that IM a Reggie Bush Supporter; but I find it kind of odd that the Texans is bringing in Vince Young right after Reggie Bush. It should be the other way around. I feel really deeply about the Texans falling in love with both prospects, and they going to still do they homework on both; just in case a few scenarios fall on the board where they can reach up and grab Vince Young.

I look at the way the Bills and Texans are taking their sweet *** time in negotiation a stinking 5 round pick. I look at the rumors of J.P. Losman may be on his way out of Buffalo. I look at the Raiders releasing Kerry Collins. The fact that AL Davis don't draft QB's in the 1st round. The fact it was reported the Raiders would have interest in The Fresno Product David Carr if he was released; That's before he was resigned.

If you look at anyone's Mock Drafts they have the Bills and Raiders taking either a DT, or OT with their 1st pick. Both of those positions run really deep into the 3rd rounds. You have Claude Wroten DT of LSU sitting pretty top of the second round. You have Jonathan Scott OT from Texas there, Marcus Mc Neil OT from Auburn, Winston Justice from Miami, Gabe Watson DT from Michigan, Roderick Wright DT from Texas, Jonathan Lewis DT from V. Tech. The point IM trying to make is Value.

You got a lot of Value with these guys in later rounds. If Schuab from Atlanta can get a 1st round grade trade value from Atlanta, surely David Carr can garner a 2nd round grade at least. Maybe just Maybe; The Texans go after Young with this ammo, David Carr our 2nd this year and a 2nd next year to the Raiders or Bills for their 7th, or 8th pick in the draft; If Vince Young is still sitting there. I know it's hypothetical; but it can be the case. Titans release Mc Nair; We battle with the Ravens to sign him and bring him home to Houston to where he belongs. Who knows will have to wait to draft day. :spy:

and I have been one of the biggest VY opponents, but I am not totally against this idea. The real issue is more of the cap hit we will take with trading Carr. I like Carr and I think new systems can make a difference, but sometimes it's the change of scenery that makes the difference.

Yeah, well the Bills took a cap hit with Eric Mould for a stinking 5th, so we trade Carr to the Bills, and take the Cap hit to even things out.

I don't think you give up on Carr until you give him a receiving corps and a line and if you do, you have a vet to replace him who knows what he's doing.

As much as Carr is dumped on in here, he might surprise the !@#$ out of some people next season.

I'm not dumping on Carr, I like him. People just need a change sometimes. Could be a new coaching staff, could be a new team. Will the scenerio happen, no. But if it was to happen I would not be against it if we got a McNair to come in with VY for a couple of years. Personally, I am happy with Carr for right now, if he doesn't progress then we will see.

I think Carr would play very well for any other team. The reason being that we still have the worst OL in the country. There are alot of good OT 's available in the draft but it will take a couple of years to develop them .

Daunte Culpepper has clearly been a better player than Carr, but his trade value isn't as high. Culpepper had serious health concerns, off-field problems, money issues (which were probably a pretense for leaving Minny), and a big contract. He went for a second, so you can definitely get a second for Carr, maybe a first. The Raiders were a possibility when Pat Hill was in the running for the job, but that's not very probable now with Brooks. The best you could probably hope for is dealing him to a team like the Vikings, but Brad Johnson makes that unneccesary. Hypothetically the Bears would be a landing place for him, complete team, lacking QB, strong armed guy like Carr could have success in that wind. Browns don't have a QB. Those really are the only teams that would even answer the phone.

Brownies are happy with Charlie Frye, they won't pay that price

Bears have Grossman and Ortman (13-1 as a starter?) I don't think they will pay it either.

It is weird that the Texans are working out Vince, I think they mainly want to see how he interacts with Andre, Moulds, D.Davis and Crew, plus talk about his financial demands as a draft pick. I think that Vince brings more to the table than Reggie, but I do not see the Texans taking Vince over Bush unless a great deal can be worked out. I also hardly think that McNair will leave Tenn. Coach Fisher is no fool, all this crap happend when the GM and HC were in Cali. Bud Adams, the gutless POS that he is, pulled this crap on Steve. If Coach Fisher was there I am sure Steve would have just stood on the sidelines and not been forced to leave. I am sure Fisher is going to mend this whole ordeal up just fine. Then again, they might have planned this whole thing out so Fisher does not look like the bad guy??? Sour Grapes are Sour Grapes, so if Steve is like screw Tenn, and we can get him by working out a deal to trade Carr I say go for it. Carr is nothing compared to Steve. A Super Bowl vet at the QB, I am all for it. A actual leader for once running this Texans Ship, heck I am all for it. Plus I am a believer that Carr is like a dog that has been beaten his whole life, all you have to do is flinch and the guy falls to the ground. He is a gun-shy now, might have been good at one point, but Capers jacked that all up.

How do you know? Name me a QB that has been sacked 200+ times in 4 years that has had any success. Let's see what this kid can do when given a chance.

Since Carr is going to start this up-coming year I think we should call Ryan Leaf out of retirement to give him a run for his money. We want to make a winner out of a complete has-been then we might as well let the to biggest loosers and has-been players dual it out. They are about equal in talent and successfulness in the NFL.

For God's sake Dave350, just give it up. If you hate the Texans players so much, just follow your boy VY to Oakland or Arizona or wherever else he might land. A little faith and opptimism for the new coaching staff would be nice. Esspecially since they have a bit more experience in this thing we call Pro football.

With the cap hit they would take on Carr they couldn't afford the 2 #1 picks. IF they looked at a trade with Carr they'd have to take a pick next year. They might have trouble signing one first round pick if they trade Carr.

The Bears also signed Brian Griese to go along with Orton and Grossman.
