Titan's interested in Bush?

"It's still early in April,'' Bush said. "Anything can happen at this point. (The Titans) could possibly trade up, or you never know. It's still early. But I think (the Titans) have showed as much interest as anybody.'

Titans Coach Jeff Fisher said. "With Reggie, one of two things happens: He either plays for you, or he ends up playing in your division. I'd certainly hate to see him twice a year.''

But not to worry Texan fans...Bush later says,

"I'd love to play for the Texans," Bush said. "It would mean everything. It would be everything I've dreamed of, everything I've worked towards. That's what I'm looking forward to.''

OK Tacks,

We'll take your #1 and #2 this year and #1 next year.

Great. So Bush can smoke the Texans twice a year. But at least we didn't draft Bush. Yeah, we'll show them.

"NFL Offense, What's That!?!?! Durrr!!, What About My Zone-Read-Option??"

"Durrr!! Being in the game during crunch time in the 4th Qtr, what's that?!?! What about turning the corner on a defense with speed?? How bout getting my a** handed to me in the Rose Bowl? Oh yeah, I know about that"

Even if it ends up being the best thing for the franchise, Reliant Stadium will burn down if:

1. The Titans get Bush or Young AND 2. The Texans get neither Bush or Young.

The fans would completely freak even if by draft tables it is a good choice and we still get a great player in the first.

It is an interesting dance that front offices have to make between not showing their hand too much and not freaking out their fanbase.

Ultimately, I think the VY lovers will be able to deal with it if we get Reggie outta the deal. I think the RB fans would be freaked if RB went in-division to the Titanhicks. I think the general public fans would be kinda weirded out if we got Mario or DBrick outta the deal without it being sold a whole heck of a lot.

That's exactly what it would take for me and not one bit less.

Hell I want more. I want one of those players they got in the Babin deal on top of what was already suggested. Our pick of the three. Then I want the rights to the Columbia Blue in their uniform. No, I don't want the Texans to wear it. I just want to take it away from them and bottle it up so that we don't have to look at it anymore.

Then I want one of those things Bud wears on his bald head stuffed and mounted in a natural setting.

Then I want a pizza. I'll think of more as I go along.

Yeah that would make a lot of sense Hookem if we didn't already know what Bush ran and if running backs with his kind of speed didn't turn the corner on NFL defenses on a fairly regular basis. The trouble is that we do know how fast Bush is and we have seen guys who were merely as fast as Reggie turn the corner and take it to the house.

On the other hand I can't honestly say that I've ever seen how a QB who scores that low on the Wonderlic test play. I have to confess I've got some morbid curiosity there. I want to see him play in the NFL too. Just not for Houston.

Did he really score a 6 on that thing the first time around? Is the 15 considered "the" final score for Vince? Didn't that put him down there with Marcus Vick or something? Maybe not. If Vince ain't the sharpest tool in the shed at least he's "in" the shed. Marcus is sitting outside against the shed rusting in the rain.

Wait a second, I found a few. Ok so some good QB's have scored really bad on the Wonderlic. Terry Bradshaw got a 15. That's got to feel good if you're Vince Young to know that Terry Bradshaw got a 15. Randall Cunningham also got himself a 15 as did Steve McNair. Donocan McNabb even got a 14.

Ok, so I have seen some "15's" play the game and they were pretty good.

We end up with Tennesee's pair of ones, their two, and Brick, or Mario, Hawk, Huff,Davis, we're going to be a whole lot closer catch Indy and Jax than drafting RB/VY. The fans will be mad about a day. When the fans see the tallent we picked up with the other four day two picks, they will see. Plus, we'll hold two ones next year. Smells like play offs to me.

The fans would have to be sold deluxe. Sold sold sold. And our player we select in the first cannot get hurt or otherwise go Babin. (I think Babin might be a nice player but fans do not have patience for players to develop--especially when the alternative choice is someone that is flashier and can make an impact faster). And if we pass and either VY/Bush or both do great, I believe there would be some tar and feathering and random acts of effigying about.

I think that the Texans are selling Reggie to the fans right now, getting us mentally prepared, and then talking to VY just enough to keep Reggie's agents honest in negotiations.

My vote for best post of the month. :redtowel:

I think you would want some beverages to go with that pizza.

Ryan Leaf scored a 27.

Case. Closed.
