The 2006 Texans could be like the Rams a few years ago.
AJ=Bruce :ok:
Moulds=Holt:ok:
Bush=Faulk:ok:
Walter/Mathis=Prohel:ok:
Carr=Warner Why Not?
Rams defence not to strong but had the right players.
Texans defence not to strong but has the right players?
We could be in for a great season. GOOD LUCK TEXANS.

Let's not get carried away here. The Rams also had one of the top O-lines in the game at that time. If we get one of those great O-lines, then MAYBE we will be somewhat like theat team.

If David Carr puts up Kurt Warner completion percentages just once in his career, I will struggle to keep the drool off my chin.

I thought after the seasons we have had you may be doing that anyway with slamming our head against the wall in frustration...

We could have God as a wide receiver and it wouldn't matter. Carr needs time to throw.

Right, which should come with a real center and a proven blocking scheme.

The receiving talent we've added will help out the line as well. No longer can teams stack the box because there's not much of a downfield threat.

Defenses are going to loathe having to play the Texans next season. Can't wait.

so AJ, not anywhere like Bruce...Moulds is nothing like Tory Holt, Holt is a top 5 WR in the game, Moulds isn't. the only close similarity is Bush and Faulk. Moulds is more similar to Bruce if anything... and if Carr puts up the numbers that Warner put up those years, then ill crap my pants

Who is our Orlando Pace? That is the player that is needed to get this offense moving.

Get Justice from USC in that position... 6'6+, 320lbs, 39 inch Vertical, 38 reps in the bench. He is one of those guys who will make huge immediate impact. and he rana 5.10 40- not too shabby for a OT at 320lbs.

Rams had a dominate line. We are more like the poor version of The Rams offense, but the potential is there.

AJ- Bruce
Moulds- Holt
Walter- Proehl
Mathis- Az Hakim
Bush- Faulk

Our o-line doesn't match anything near of what the Rams had.

Coaching, a reevaluation of the existing talent, and a solid draft will help a lot, as will Flanagan, IMO.

I think some people are getting a little head of themselves.

Besides, does Kubiak want to run the St. Louis type offense or more like Denver?

Maybe Kubiak plans to make his offense that other teams would like to copy?

Actually, I don't care about the offense and stats, I want to win a Super Bowl.

A real center and a blocking scheme will help, thats for sure, but this line needs more then that to become competent. I wouldn't mind seeing us pick up Ferguson or Justice, but at what price? Unfortunately, if you pick either one of these guys, then you have to give up Bush (aka: Marshall Faulk).

With Kubiak, I think it'll be a case of the passing game helping to open up the running game. Frankly, I feel that's the right way to look at it. You need to have a competent running game that can chew up yards and the clock. The passing game is there for possessions in long 3rd down situations and when you need a score in a hurry.

You could also use a couple of guys named Orlando Pace. Maybe three or four.

I think our o-line will do just fine. Imagine if you will.....CARR DROPS BACK..............DOES HIS HAIR...................DOES A H.E.B. COMMERCIAL..............THROWS THE BALL TO BUSH..............TOUCHDOWN!!!
:yahoo:

I guess anything is possible...but I've got to see more out of these guys before I can put them in the same league with that Rams team. Carr hasn't really revealed any ability to consistently hit precise long passes, either due to his abilities or the protection (whatever). And while AJ is definitely a great potential talent, he's got a lot to prove to be in the same consideration as Bruce or Holt.

As far as Bush being another Marshal Faulk....well...we can always hope so.

I like the optimism, tho'! I hope it turns into a reality for us.

I'm certainly excited about the moves they've made - a few maybe not so spectacular. But we won't know it until next season. For now it looks like they are hella serious about shaking things up on offense. Talk about competing for your job. You'd think they were "an expansion" team - we've gotta shake it considering that technically we are still the new team with no other new teams in the league yet.

Can't wait to see what happens.
