I love Casserly in the draft as long as someone else handles all 2nd and 3rd round picks.
Nice list. I wonder what that list will look like after this coming season. I'm not saying you're wrong mind you, just that it's possible that it won't look all that grim. I'd say that this season I'm very interested to see if all these busts and underperformers stay the way they "are".
2nd Jabar Gaffney - underperformer
In Philly I'll be wondering if he breaks out.
2nd Chester Pitts - great pick
Yep, that one was a winner.
3rd Fred Weary - underperformer
So far but it looks like he's going to get his shot.
3rd Charles Hill - Total Bust
Yeah he was.
2003
2nd Bennie Joppru - Bust
No way to forsee three straight years of injury
3rd Antwan Peek - underperformer
As a pass rushing DE? We'll see.
3rd Seth Wand - underperformer
Says Joe Pendry. The benching of Seth Wand left me scratching my head. Wonder what he'll be like under the current regime.
3rd Dave Ragone - doesn't play
No he doesn't. I scratched my head at this pick when it was made and I'm still scratching my head over it. Nothing against Ragone or anything. Backup QB's are neat things to have when starters get hurt. I just didn't understand why we took one in the 3rd when we did.
Supplemental pick - top pick in 2nd round Tony Hollings
Probably playing dominos with Charles Hill somewhere.
2004
2nd 3rd & 4th Jason Babin - underperformer
Like Peek I'm curious to see if this changes when he goes back to his previous position.
2005
2nd & 3rd Phillip Buchanon
I expect improvement from Buchanon. Not Pro Bowl improvement but I think he'll look more like a corner in someone elses defense. He was a lousy fit in Fangio's defense, that's certain. He'll never be the shutdown hitter that we wanted but he'll pick off some passes (and give up some long passes) if he's allowed to play man to man.
