Which QB is #1?

Check out this link:

Go to the bottom right of the page and see the question, "Which QB would you draft first?" Click on "View Map".

Matt Leinhart steals the show and even in Texas Young is only winning by 1%. Not saying that Young won't be good, but that's reality.

WOW the only state where Matt Leinart is not a runaway favorite is Texas, and here it is 45% to 45%

Obviously the programmers of the site messed up and had Vince's votes go to Matt.

This will be fixed tomorrow.

Im pretty sure everyone outside of College Station turned into a longhorn for the Rose Bowl. All I know is that I see a whole lot of UT shirts since the Rose Bowl...hmmm...

I'm tempted to go with the Steve McNair - Kerry Collins analogy from '95 but I won't..... Collins won a bunch of national awards, but McNair outpointed him in the Heisman. McNair was taken #3 overall by Floyd Reese - Collins was taken 5th overall by Dom. Collins was viewed as the "ready now" QB between the two, while McNair was viewed as having the most explosive upside but with higher risk due to I-AA.

A lot of those t-shirts have been seen on campus here at A&M. People like to tag along to a winner. Fran is losing people's patience and fast.

You know Texas has more than one sports school, right?

Really I had no idea! But there were only 3 QBs to choose from and only 1 from Texas,so what exactly is your point?

LOL, AJ crashes the party

i love it when AJ or Vinny or Keith on hpf.com do that

you guys are great posters with great takes, keep it up

Unfortunately, what does that prove? McNair has had the better career, but neither have that little ring on their finger....

McNair is the better QB of the two, but all it proves is that once upon a time the one considered more ready for the NFL (or however you want to say it) was not the best choice. It's one example, or exception, depending on how you look at it. The majority is not always right, but what I've shown is that the majority IS with Leinart, which is contrary to what many current Texan fans believe.

No contest Vince Young! California Sucks!

That is the best response I've ever seen on this subject! :ok:

....however, of course I couldn't care less about what state they're from, unlike some of the Young fanatics.

this is all hype driven of course, choose what facet you like the most I guess  Vince Youngs ability to win big games, Leinarts pro pocket style or Cutlers mechanics the important thing for any franchise will be to match up their strengths with the system that best fits their style. Cutler would be great in Tennessee, Leinart in NY and VY in Arizona you cant fit a square peg into a round hole, by the way VY would be great in Houston but I'm resigned to the fact he will sow his oats in another town so I'm hoping it is Arizona and not Tennessee, that would really suck :crying:

I'm not sure how well Vince fits into most current systems, I think you'll have to tailor one to him like the Falcons tried to do with Michael Vick, and depending on who's coming up with the system it may or may not work well. I honestly think Arizona gives him the best chance to succeed among the teams that realistcally have a shot at getting him.
