Dude, just stop and read what you posted... Rams made the playoffs multiple years in a row? KC? Browns? Raiders? C'mon man, you're better than that
The Rams/Chiefs/Eagles sure have and I expect the Browns to make the playoffs next year if Mayfield stays healthy.

Who has Incognito hurt since he turned pro?

I appreciate your way of thinking, but just know the Texans won't be winning SB's.

You don't want Hill on the Texans?
Dude is flat out unstable, you know that. 36, likely to get popped again. I get taking chances, but let's not use him as the example. Anyone carrying around guns and going to their car can stay away. I had a meth head drive through our cycling team, and then pull over to get his gun and finish work. Life trumps football.

On Hill, he has proven he will attempt to kill his unborn child and hit women more than once, so no, I don't want him here. Football is a passion and distraction, I go to the games, but don't want to support crap like Hill and Incognito to win the big one. Again, take measured chances. These guys have proven what they are

By all indications, the Raiders will be bad. They have an over/under of 6.

That doesn't mean their moves have been bad, but I'm a little confused at what they are doing. It seems like they are signing guys to win now rather than going through a rebuilding process.

Just going by your word...

... or is it worthless?
Like I said you win

What would you like for your participation trophy.

BTW, Gruden makes the final calls. But carry on, you know who won't be winning SB's until they change the way they acquire players?

Rams made playoffs multiple years in a row? Recently?
Yes, they have made the playoffs the last 2 years. Losing to the Falcons and the Pats You really should fact check before you split hairs.

They are building a team to be good when they get to Vegas. They gave Care all of the pieces he needs to be successful. They have to find out if Carr is their guy before they move to Vegas.

If the Chiefs cut Hill today another team would pick him up by the end of the week.

Probably the Pats, it's the way of the teams that win in the NFL.

So I guess Texans should suck enough to pick top 5 in the draft for umpteen years to make you happy? Your Texans, not mine
They should be major players in fa while Watson is on his rookie contract.

Instead of calling me names, you should point out what I said that wasn't true.

Yes, the Rams, Eagles, Chiefs have made the playoffs multiple years in a row and yes, Gruden is making the final calls with the Raiders.

As Nicholason once said, you can't handle the truth. At least not without getting your panties in a wad and calling me names. I simply don't believe in calling names when you have lost an debate.

Doesn't make it right or mean that it should be encouraged. If that's what it takes to win in the NFL then no winning isn't worth it and the NFL should be shut down in my book. Ask yourself this, say they brought Incognito here and he did snap like he almost did before and it was your wife, husband, child, niece, nephew, dog or whatever that was at the wrong place at the wrong time, was the "help for the team" worth it? Or say Hill beats a women and kills her unborn child, do you still not care about their personal life and just care about if they can help win a pointless game?

You're right facts do carry the day so lets have some facts.

Rams: Worst of three, 2018 make to SB on the one of the worst calls in NFL history, 2017 went 1 and done,. Before that had last been in the playoffs in 2004.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/ram/playoffs.htm

Eagles: 2018 one the wildcard because our D couldn't stop a FG, knocked out in division game. 2017 SB win, best record on this list. Before that had last been to the playoffs in 2013 and before that 2010, 2009, 2008.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/phi/playoffs.htm

Chiefs: Most consistent of the three. Playoffs in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015. 18 and 15 made it to conference game, knocked out by Pats both times. 16 and 17 went 1 and done. Before that last playoff was 13, 10 and 06, went 1 and done everytime.

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/kan/playoffs.htm

So explain to me again why these teams are so great that we should copy them?

Because they have all made conference championship games or SB's and the Eagles even one a SB.

You know, things that the Texans and the fanbase can only dream of. Maybe they've been successful lately because they accepted the new way the NFL is trending and changed the way they do business.

Police had to interfere or he very well might have. Didn't know you were the United Nations and that someone has to actually shoot at you before they are considered a threat. Me, if someone even threatens it I'm going to consider it serious. Also he threw a dumbbell at a guy in a gym, I suppose in your world since its not actually considered a weapon then that's ok.

You know what though, lets get back to football, here's how much help he was to Miami.

His teammates absolutely loved him in Miami. In fact teammates on all of the teams he's been on seem to like him.

It was later found out that Martin was even more mentally unstable than Incognito.

Last post on this, Incognito was unstable and prevented to play in 2018. He did not shoot at someone to my knowledge, but read his page "On August 20, 2018, Incognito was arrested and taken into custody after an incident at a funeral home where he threatened to shoot the employees while making funeral arrangements for his father. Police seized two Glocks, three rifles, and a suppressor for a handgun in Incognito's truck.[74] Employees told Scottsdale police that Incognito wanted his father's head cut off for research purposes, and that he had walked through the funeral home punching caskets and throwing objects.[75] Incognito was charged with disorderly conduct and making threats." He has no super bowl appearances so if he was all that maybe he would push a team over the top or the teams you think take chances would have been fighting for him. Let's debate guys like Talib that make a difference and seem to show up where winning teams are, that is at least worth the discussion. I am not sure Talib is unstable, just comes from a cold place and takes no crap

Wherever Talib goes his teams win. Pats- yep they took a chance on a character guy.

Rams, Broncos etc...

As a Pats fan I hated losing him. He was only there one season, but he was incredible. Then he gave them hell on the Broncos. They got him back last season beating the Rams in the SB with Jules beating him a lot in that game. He's a grade A piece of **** human being, but I love that guy on the field. He's an enforcer at CB. I'd always want him on my team.

A big part of #Patriots personnel man Nick Caserio’s interest in the #Texans GM job reportedly was his close friendship with Houston coach – and ex-Pats offensive coordinator Bill O’Brienhttps://t.co/JXITkxpSH8 pic.twitter.com/uNFWaoFYAA

— NBC Sports Boston (@NBCSBoston) June 25, 2019

Our Tom E. Curran notes that the Pats’ asking price would have to be a first-rounder and that would seem to be a non-starter for the Texans.

The driving force behind Caserio’s desire to work for the Texans, who also sought permission to talk to him a year earlier but were denied by the Patriots, is his close relationship with Houston coach and former Pats offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien, The Boston Globe’s Chris Gasper reports.

According to Gasper, Caserio and O’Brien’s "friendship extends well beyond football." That relationship and the opportunity to be the boss have Caserio, 43, intrigued by the Texans.

More from Gasper’s column:

"It was a chance to work with his buddy, and finally have a chance to run the building," said a source with knowledge of Caserio’s situation. "He told Belichick he’s super grateful for every opportunity he’s been given. But it would be absurd to request that [Houston-type] opportunity there, and he never would.

"Based on age, at some point, he’ll be given the opportunity. I think he would love that. I think he knows to not desire it or request it in New England because of the gentleman he reports to. If Coach wants to make it 10 more years, maybe he will."

This same source told Gasper that Caserio, Bill Belichick and owner Robert Kraft and team president Jonathan Kraft held a clear-the-air session after the Texans backed off their pursuit and the focus is on the season ahead: "It was a tough week and a half, but I’m certain it’s behind all parties, or at least it seems to be."

We differ in that I think he can still play at a high level, or the Raiders would not have signed him. Like I said, I only care about if he makes the team better and don't really care about the rest of the stuff in your post.
So you don't care about if he flips out and possibly does something incredibly stupid or hurts someone here? That's a acceptable risk for you to take on for a player who hasn't even played football in 2 years and might have a off chance of still being productive?

Let's not act like the Raiders signing the guy is some kind of great vote of confidence of his present ability either. They signed him to a one year contract. It's a straight up tire kick which will most likely end up with him getting the boot out the door before the season starts.

I agree that we shouldn't just can prospects or players with checkered pasts, but the reward has to greatly outweigh the risk, just like any other investment made in life/business. There isn't much upside or potential reward that's going to offset the risks of signing a 36 yo psychopath who hasn't even played football in 2 years. The players with baggage that you should consider better still be in their prime.. there's just not enough upside there. I'd rather roll the dice on a player ten years younger who isn't a complete maniac with a deteriorating brain. It just doesn't make sense, but that's just me.

I realize what it's going to take for the Texans to win a championship.

If this makes me a troll in your eyes simply because you disagree with me, then so be it.
Remind me again.. how many Championships has Richie won? Hell, how many times has his teams even made the playoffs during his 11 year career?

Do you threaten to kill everyone in a funeral home after they decline your request to sever your father's head? That's my issue, not the fact that he owns/carries. This guy didn't just "carry a gun with him" either. He had multiple hand guns/multiple rifles, and even a damn silencer on him.. (why would anyone need that?).

Trying to pass this off as carrying a gun on him, is like saying the Las Vegas shooter just carried a gun. The guy drives around with a entire arsenal of weapons (and a silencer in his car). Completely off the wall behavior and irresponsible for any gun owner.

Also another huge red flag for me is how his own family is weary of him being around.

So hiring Caserio would make his BFF O’Brien untouchable? No thanks. I don’t want another tight relationship as Cal and Godfather Rick had that kept Smith here longer than he should have been.

Sounds like the issue of compensation for Nick Caserio is still alive;
https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/nfl/patriots-could-get-compensation-from-texans-for-gm-candidate/ar-AADCeuK?ocid=spartanntp

I hope we don't give up a good draft pick for something we can get for nothing if we just wait a few months.
I don't know. A few months from now Cal may want nothing to do with Caserio & O'Brien. He may want to start with a clean slate. If you think Caserio has what it takes to be a good GM, we should probably get him now that we have a coach he wants to work with.

I hope so. I'm tired of hearing about O'Brien and having his BFFs from the Patriots at NRG. They are not building a clubhouse on Kirby. I can understand a HC hiring his buddies for his coaching staff, but to fill the organization with O'Brien's BFFs seem to be counter productive to a winning professional organization.
