Trent Williams LT Available

So Amari, Zeke or Dak... if you had to GUESS which one they'd let go... Which would it be?

They already wasted a 1st rounder on both Zeke and Amari. yet Dak is the Captain they've been looking for apparently.

Jerry Jones has stabbed both Dez and Romo in the back... I would guess he'd do the same to Zeke
Why don't you Cowboy fans take your discussion to someplace in North Texas ?

So I may have been one of two guys at Cal with guns, Buck (not a joke) from Tennessee being the other. Would take folks out to shoot. Usually skeet because that's not intimidating. Occasionally let them fire the 1911. That didn't work so well. Just kind of tremble and put it down.

Bear's mom (from North Carolina) eventually got where she could aim. 95 lb girl just terrified. Loved having a dog to protect her. She won't let Dalton bring his Akita to Austin because she wants him.

Atlas (the Akita) hasn't met Sue. He met Elvis. Elvis was in a grumpy mood. Shoved Atlas into a wall. Dumpf. "Well that wasn't nice." "So?" 10 kinds of I don't give a sh!t, he can come talk to me.

This is true but SB winning teams also either have a game manager QB or a top tier one. Dak hasn't yet shown he can be either. He's had flashes but nothing you can really hang your hat on. Also Dallas line, while still good, is not the wall it use to be. I don't know I just think Dallas has missed their window for the time being and now they have to look at a mini rebuild. That being the case they maybe looking at just drafting and keeping Zeke and Dak to just keep things interesting and make the bleed out not to bad.
Zac is Romo 2.0, just good enough to keep Dallas from drafting a franchise QB while they wait for him to catch lightning in a bottle.

Jerry is bound and determined to do opposite Jimmy. Aikman wasn't the most athletic but he was laser accurate. Behind Emmitt distribute the ball.

So...about this Trent Williams guy...

Did a lot of them also have big balls?

Come on guys. Let's stick to the thread topic about left tackle Trent Williams okay? An occasional post or two off topic I can read but this is going on way too long. Thanks

In a way, it's kind of fitting. This off season has gone on far too long with all the drama.

Wonder if it's truly cosmetic or if that's just the story to keep concerns low and value high.

What's benign today could become malignant tomorrow. I do see it as a concern but a minor one at this point. Of course before any trade becomes a possibility, Texans would have to see his medical reports. Anywho it's Saturday morning and I am off for the jet ski.

I could swear this is Friday morning.

But I've been wrong before.

I'd trade for him also but a 1st rounder...ehh.. i'd try to pull off another trade like maybe McKinney and our 2nd for Trent and Rueben Foster...

Sure Fosters injured but he'll be a HELLUVA player even-still and he'll keep the Texans relevant PLUS is a YUGE upgrade compared to McKinney both contract-wise and also football IQ wise...

Title should be changed to Not Available

Thread should be moved to the "Doesn't really matter" section
It does matter and we don't know if available or not. One thing firing of Gaine showed me was Texans can keep things quiet behind the scenes if they want to.

Reuben Foster on the Texans, lol..

Sounds like still speculation, but......

Texans Opens Up Trade Talks With Washington?
Offensive tackle Trent Williams’ absence from Washington’s mandatory minicamp at Inova Sports Performance Center at Redskins Park raised some major alarms.

It was first reported that one of the game’s best blindside protectors wanted a new contract from the Skins. With Williams still AWOL, it has since been reported that the seven-time Pro Bowler has told his teammates that he wants to be traded or released.

It is believed not to be a financial decision, but one that stems from Washington’s handling of a health scare this past season.....

.......It is believed initial talks has seen the Texans offer a 3rd-4th round pick for the 30-year old, former first round pick (#4, 2010), who was born in Longview, Texas.

(apologies to all, didn't mean to post something actually related to the thread title.....) :troll:

Assuming for the moment, that is true (highly dubious), a 3rd for this guy is an absolute steal, and a 4th? Someone needs to file a report with the police for grand theft football player.

I'd love to see him come here! I'm not even sure at this point who would be in charge of the negotiations? Chris Olsen? Easterby? BOB? Cal? Janice? The Janitor?

Agreed but there is another factor that might make it more appealing to Washington. Williams is a huge hit on their cap space and if they don't do something in the next year or two they're in cap hell. So a 3rd or 4th might not seem like much but when you factor in that they can get him off their books as well it makes more sense. IF this deal goes down I'm thinking a third in 2020 with maybe a 3rd or 4th in 2021 as an offer and then see what they counter with.

To me it sounds like the Texans are being cheap & unreasonable. Bidding, but not really.

We sent Duane Brown & a fifth for a 3rd & future 2nd. That's the neighborhood the Texans need to be in if they want Washington to think they are serious.

Gotta be the DB deal or better. Williams is younger and arguably as good as DB was at his best. I would gladly give up a 1st for Williams. Watson's health is that important to me.

I do not want you negotiating anything for me. You should always start off low and then work your way up if necessary. It's hard to start with a first-round pick offer and then work down. Trent Williams is definitely worth a first-round pick but if the scenario turns out to be as it could be with a player wanting out of Washington, we could get him for a lot less. Only a rumor for now, but certainly fun to talk about .

Kind of like a player wanting out of Houston.

I understand negotiations. Were I Washington I wouldn't even respond to the team with no general manager that just offered me a 3rd/4th round pick for a player that I, as a team, still want to keep.

You don't need to start with a 1st. Start with two thirds maybe we end up at next years 3rd 2021's 2nd. Or next year's 3rd & 4th.

I could very well be wrong. But I wouldn't expect Washington to respond.

You do know that Janice the Janitor was fired last week and Bill O'Brien has taken over her role for the forseeable future?
