Turnover Texans!!!!

Kingzofthejungle

Practice Squad
What's the over/under on turnovers for Sunday? I say 5! If the Charges can get 4 we will get atleast 5!

Tell your Texans to pack some depends. We wouldn't want you guys to stain those pretty uniforms when they get smacked around Ford Field!

Tell you trolls to don't to our site talking smack after you lose to the worst team in football. Oh, I forgot that was last year. You guys have taken over that dubious crown.

I originally came here to offer the friendly smack, but I have been insulted and now your trolls are invading our site with meaningless banter. Get ready for a DETROIT JACK MOVE ON SUNDAY!

Hope David's got his GUNS loaded you'll need em!

Oh, shut up. We're gonna go 15-1 this year and you can't stop us, because Detroit has the worst team in football! :neener:

lol lets just see mid season when HArrington is benched and detroit has to dust off mike McMahan or however you spell his name.

Charles rogers is officially a bust, he is done for the year, and with the same injury in consecutive years, that collar bone is going to be weaker i bet the 14 million bonus given to rogers is looking like money well spent. 6 years and 40 million.... already have paid him around 16 million so far for 22 catches 243 yards and 3 touchdowns. Not a good investment

No Dre Bly either for this week. detroit is going down.

Why do you continue to post all these messages, its only monday, Id hate to see how many you will have by Sunday. Please dont talk just because we lost to the Chargers, you guys barely beat Chicago and they have a very young QB and basically noone out there catching the ball.

Sure you can think what you want but the Texans really have to much of a talented offense for you to expect to roll over us, and if the defensive coordinator remembers the blitzing plays then we have a pretty solid defense.

I'd hate to see even more of the smack talk like we had the week leading up to the Chargers. Chicago isn't the shining gem of the league either. Thomas Jones had how many yards? Trolls will inevitably come, but no need in having one more King. You started out good, and I'd like to think by the end of the week I'll be able to say "Good luck to you and your team" while still having some respect for Lions fans as a whole. We had our share of Chargers trolls wishing for injuries to every Texan, and I'd like to think a reasonable football discussion can take place without all the trolling from the Lions fans. Ihategeeks is another Lions fan that frequents the board quite often, and I don't consider him a troll by anymeans. He contributes good info to the board, and still supports his team with pride. Most of the Texans fans on this board are good guys that support their team, and I wouldn't think that any of them are the ones trolling all over the the Lions board. I could be wrong, and it wouldn't be the first time, but most guys are up to debate their teams and still be respectful of fans of other teams.

That's because the Chargers are now the best team in football. They're goin' 16-0, but we'll beat them in the playoffs. :headbang:

If you guys don't like the smack on your board then I can empathize but I can't control what some pea-brain does from his mother's computer at home. It's a different story here though. Good luck trying to talk too much smack on this board, 'cause you won't get too far if you can't keep the smack to breaking down the game. Don't get me wrong....we welcome rival fans, but we would like you guys to post like mature adults.

Oh, and Chicagos front 7 is wwwaaaayyyyyy better than the Texans (no disrespect), so running will be alot easier this week for the Lions, especially when the Texans are focusing on the pass.

Who ya gonna throw it to rogers ??? Wait isnt he hurt ??? hoy bout williams , well glenn will prolly cover him so not to big of a day. I agree w/ 3rd coast Babin and Wong should have a field day w/ harrington. And the players do think the same way we do thats why they're so DaNgErIoUs !!! Me and 3rd coast will be at yalls site on monday to say "Told ya so" see ya then !!!!!

Carr outperformed Harrington last week. He may have had 2 INT's but those aren't what lost the game for us, and he was 19-25 and over 200 yards. As far as losing to what some deem the "worst team in football," the Texans aren't exactly the best team in football, yet, and teams lose to teams they're better than all the time. The Texans are an expansion team and have improved a lot more than the Lions have in the time since their birth to the NFL...we'll see come Sunday who the better team is

Well keep in mind that Urlacher was slowed in the preseason by injury, and they're adjusting to a new scheme. Also, I believe that they're starting a rookie at DT in Tommie Harris. Rookie DTs tend to have a rough go in the league until they develop more than one move to get by the OLine. I'm not sure if Tank Johnson started for them against Detroit but he's a rookie DT too. They traded for Ogunlewye, and I think he's their best DLineman at the moment. Brown is on the other side, and he hasn't shown much yet. Lance Briggs and Joe Odom are young OLBs for the Bears in their 2nd year so I wouldn't quite dismiss Houston's front 7. We've actually been better against the run than we have in the pass rush. Seth Payne should play Sunday, and although he's not yet the Seth Payne of old, he's still very good against the run. Babin has pretty good quickness to the outside, and was able to dump LT in the backfield a couple of times on open field tackles for big losses. His weakness is still pass coverage, but he's a rookie making a switch from DE to OLB. It will come in time. Wong is the veteran on the outside, and he's very good in run and pass coverage. Sharper puts up Pro Bowl numbers, but he's not recieved the recognition for it yet in Houston. Our weakest link at LB would be Jay Foreman. Robaire Smith and Gary Walker are good against the run as well, however Walker is recovering from a strained groin and didn't look like himself last Sunday. Hopefully we'll see him looking better in Detroit.

Do not listen to this piece of trash. I seem to recall the Chargers beating the Lions in Detroit last year and the Chargers had a more worse team last year. Know your facts first before running your mouth you poor excuse of a football fan!

I don't think the Texans are a bad team. But there is a lot of underestimating going on here. Fortunately both coaches know better than the forum posters to make such a mistake.

this is a qoute from Lions head coach. I dont see how they will get 5 what a joke and that is someone talking out of their err, anyway....

We watched the film, obviously. We saw Houston turn the ball over, which was really a factor in that game, certainly. It was a hard-hitting game, chasing down the quarterbacks. The game could have gone either way. We know that. We know that Houston is a good team and they’re not going to turn the ball over four times again. We have to play better than we did against the Bears.”

I suppose he might know a little more than a blowhard!!!

Didnt your Q.B have a heart attack last year? Sharper will be testing his heart come sunday He will never make it thru the season. You won your first road game in 50 years lol: ,and now your talking smack. :hmmm: If we dont turn the ball over....You WILL lose :hehe:

Are who are you. So what that was last year. You guys won 14-7 Big deal. LT had a great game and we had a big letdown after beating the Packers on Turkey Day. Coming off a short week. If I recall you guys still had the first pick of the draft and more than likely will again. Remind me why you are still on this board? Don't you guys play someone else this week. Obviously you must not think you will beat them oeterwise why are you still here?

Your franchise is horrible. Always has been, Always will be! What a waste of LT's talent.

Coming from a guy who roots for the same team that wasted Barry Sanders' talent for 10 years.

I reiterate the need for a speel chekker!

This coming from a LIONS fan... pardon me while the hysterics die down. Got news for ya bub... yer franchise hasn't exactly been a shining example of superior football recently either. I love it... now LIONS fans think they can smack-talk about others :) God bless America, huh?

The Lions have always been a very competitive team. Throughout the 80's, 90's and early 00's we have had playoff appearances and repectable records. Until the previous 3 seasons we have done ok. When you guys actually reach the playoffs and the conference championship you Texans fans should have much to say. And don't give me that expansion ****. Based on recent expansion teams Carolina, Jacksonville and Baltimore you guys are behind hte curve. All those teams have made a bigger splash than you guys. Especially the way they set up with the expansion draft and no.1 pick. Maybe if your coach didn't waste money on an injury prone left tackle and aging defender you would have done better.

If you knw anything about the Lions you might know that we didn't waste is talent. Perhaps he wasted his own talent. Sure he was a great "runningback", but Barry was a terrible leader. Don't get me wrong, but Barry never participated in the off season, usually skipped training camp, never took a leadership role and quit before training camp just like Ricky Williams did. Great highlight film, but wasted talent and poor leader. Everyone has their flaws.

And oh yeah we did go the playoffs almost every year and lost in the NFC championship game to the redskins. The game we should have won, but didn't. Our QB got hurt and Andre Ware (biggest bust ever) had to play.

Why don't you guys call me when you get 10 years under your belt and tell me if David Carr's talent was wasted! :twocents: :twocents:

Pardon me but arn't the Lions one of oldest NFL franchises NEVER to reach the SB? I like the way you hang your hat on "almost got there seasons" because It reminds me of our woefull Oilers. But I guess at least there appearance in the SB as the Titans eliminates that franchise as one of the oldest. Anybody know what other team has been in the NFL longer than the Lions and never reach the SB? Barry Sanders was one of the best RB's of all time and his leadership skills being a hinderance to the team is absurd. Try having NO offensive line to speak of for 10yrs. Why would you want to work the best RB in football in off-season and pre-season? We didnt even do it with DD. Earl Cambell never participated in off season and rarely played pre-season after his 1st yr. I dont recall anyone ever questioning his leadership skills. Our O-Line would have killed or died for Earl. Lions fans have become professional excuse makers and I empathise after watching the Oilers for 25yrs. Also, as long as the Lions have been in the League and never reach the SB how far behind the most important curve of all do you think they are?

Since when was Baltimore an expansion team? Might want to recheck your NFL knowledge my friend. The Cleveland Browns moved to Baltimore, and thus had the same team intact. Then in 1999 the 'New' Cleveland Browns were an expansion team.

As far as the competitive team arguement thats weak at best. The goal of any team is to be successful, and not simply competitive. Even the Texans can hold the 'competitive' team claim to fame. If you want to make a valid arguement you might want to first have the right information before spewing about something you're clueless about.
