Think of it like this, They won six in a row after they were 3-7, they have 3 good receviers, including a Great one in Chris Chambers. They have up and coming RB in Ronnie Brown, and Good coach in Nick Saban, if Daunte is restored to 2004 form, they could deeep.

I agree as well although I thought you could get him for a 3rd. Hopefully Kubiak as equal success as Sabin in his first year.

I remember his numbers back in the day but I didn't really watch the games enough to comment on his skill or the possible resurrection thereof. If you say he can do that same thing again, well I guess we will just wait and see.
And as for the Dolphins, 5 of those last 6 wins came against nancy teams, with NE (I believe, if I am remembering this correctly) resting their starters most of that one "legitimate" game as they had already clinched the division.
Do not get me wrong, Saban is a very solid coach and the Dolphins have a lot to look forward to, but I hardly see them beating the more solid, well-rounded, deep AFC teams this year or the next, for that matter.

Great move by the fins, and Brees list of suitors just dropped to one, especially since the Lions signed Kitna. I have a feeling they balked at Brees stupid high asking price, and that led to them pulling the trigger. Easy playoff team this year now, and a dangerous one at that. See what good coaching, and a couple of key moves can do?

I would like to know is who is gonna QB the Vikes now? Do they have someone on the bench or they gonna try and trade up to grab one of the 3QB's coming out of college? Inquiring minds want to know........

The Vikings have Brad Johnson(Rob Johnson....... they've got a johnson) that helped make their season respectable. They aren't hurting for a QB.. not yet anyway.

They have Brad Johnson. They will be just fine. Remember, he is the old man who took the Bucs all the way a few years back. I would rather have Brad QB the vikes than Culpepper the turn over machine.
Culpepper will be better in Miami though.
Im kind of in the same boat. I know it sounds stupid, but I'm not a big fan of drafting QB's. the success rate seems pretty small for the price you have to pay. its been proven you can make it to the playoffs and even win it all with a QB who is not a superstar.
honestly, if you told me we traded Carr for DE Abraham, drafted D'Brikashaw to shore up our line and signed somebody like Brees or even Kitna I would be fine with it. It just seems like you can find a veteran QB that can get the job done provided your GM does his job and puts a good team around him.

It's a nice position to be in when you basically know you can have Drew Brees or Daunte Culpepper, so they weren't too worried about giving Brees the farm to come play for them. I am a little surprised they got Culpepper for just a 2nd round pick, I figured a future conditional pick would be in there too so the Vikes get compensated better if Culpepper has another year like he did in 2004 (I doub that ever happens agin, but somewhere in that neighborhood) and somewhat protect the Dolphins in case he never fully recovers.

I'm sure they'll look for a younger, capable QB in free agency or else they could look to trade up for one of the top three in this draft or look for Omar Jacobs or Brodie Croyle in the 2nd round and sit them behind Johnson for a year.

"Somewhere there is a buy-in factor. I just didn't think that was the case," Childress said. "Right from the beginning. As I mentioned, I never had a conversation with him about this football team. It was always about what he needed financially and money. I never heard team, I always heard me and I and, 'I need $10 million. I'm a $10 million-dollar-a-year quarterback.'"
