The Cardinals have tendered offers to every one of their restricted free agents, all of them believed to be at the “low” tender of $712,000: Guard Jeremy Bridges, linebacker Gerald Hayes, defensive tackle Kenny King, defensive end Anton Palepoi, guard Reggie Wells and running back Damien Anderson. . . .

NFL sources said Friday the Cardinals will likely make a free agent push for Baltimore defensive tackle Maake Kemoeatu, Detroit guard (and former ASU lineman) Kyle Kosier and Houston guard Milford Brown. Other names that have emerged as potential targets are San Francisco linebacker Julian Peterson, New York cornerback Will Allen and Pittsburgh receiver Antwaan Randle El. . . .
 
That is (a little) refreshing to see. Someone interested in one of ours.
 
Not suprising....the Cards are the only team (besides us w/ Casserly) that would ever be interested in Milford Brown.

AzCardinals.com reports the Arizona Cardinals have signed free agent OL Milford Brown (Texans) to a four-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed.
 
I liked Brown. Good run blocker. I think they got a good football player, that was on a bad system, and coached badly.

Just watch, Brown will be a rock for the Cardinals. My biggest fear going into this years free agent period is that we'll lose a bunch of our guys and they'll be the guys who work out elsewhere. I'm so ticked off that we're sitting here about to start year 5 and we don't know what we've got.

I want Milford to do well but at the same time I know that in that big pile of very ordinary players we call a roster are some actual players and I want the Texans to keep them. For some reason I have this idea that Brown was one of them. We'll see.

Not playing Rags in the Niners game just puts the cherry on top of the stupid cake that was our coaching staff last year.
 
Really raw and has played in only 18 games -- with 16 starts -- in four years. A dozen of those starts came in 2005, when the Texans reshuffled their line, and he played pretty well. A lot of teams feel he can develop into a very strong in-line blocker in the running game.


This was his scouting report I got off the Cardinals website. On the BBoard, fans are not very excited about him or his pass blocking.

Kent Somers, of the Arizona Republic, reports the Arizona Cardinals are penciling in newly signed OG Milford Brown as their starting right guard. The team sees Brown as a solid run blocker.

Darren Urban, of the East Valley Tribune, reports Arizona Cardinals OG Milford Brown signed a four-year contract worth about $12 million to join the Cardinals.
 
He'll probably do well. We were so flawed on both the offensive side and the defensive side of the ball that it's hard to tell if the players we had/have are good or not. I wish him the best .

I think, that being said of the flawed system here in Houston, that we'll see a huge difference in Babin. I predicting now that he'll be the most improved Texan on the defense.

Ken Somers, of the Arizona Republic, reports Arizona Cardinals OG Milford Brown, signed last week, will receive salaries of $2 million in 2006, $2.35 million in 1007, $2.35 million in 2008 and $2.3 million in 2009. His signing bonus was around $3 million.
 
Sounds like Denny Green really wanted Brown. Good luck to him in Arizona, and I'm sure he'll love making running lanes for James.

I hope your right, though I'm not sure if anyones knows for certain if he's going to line up as DE or OLB

In all honesty, he was a solid run blocker for us.... so this isn't really too surprising, or far fetched..... now the false start thing...
 
I was curious to see what Green saw in Brown during the Cardinal/Texan game this year, and I honestly can't say that I saw an extraordinary game by Milford. He was in the starting lineup, as was Weary, and he lined up at LG next to Pitts. McKinney was the starting center, and Weigart manned the RT position.

Brown didn't do a bad job of clearing the way for Wells, but Weary seemed to be a little better that day. Weary also seemed to get to the next level easier. To be fair Brown appeared to be a bit gimpy that day, and honestly I think Green saw more of Brown than that one game before deciding he'd be a nice addition to his O-Line. The Cardinals had a thin DLine during the game, but Brown still appeared to be good around the goal line. He's always been good making running lanes, and I suspect he'll be just as good, if not better, in Arizona. I wish him the best of luck.
