Bob McNair just passed away

Uncle Rico

Ur apology should be as loud as Ur disrespect was
You were an ornery man who came up in the land that time forgot. I thank him for bringing football back to Houston and only wish he could have lived to see a championship. Condolences to his family and may God grant his soul eternal peace.

Crazy, wierd year continues...

I was made aware that he was hospitalized a while ago, and from I was able to gather, he was not going to make it out of the hospital. I haven't felt comfortable revealing this information until now, when his passing has been just now officially revealed.

Whatever anyone thinks of how he has handled the Texans.......they are here only because he made it possible..................may he rest in peace.

Yeah just heard it on 610 and saw this on chron.com: https://www.chron.com/sports/texans/article/Houston-Texans-owner-Bob-McNair-passes-away-13417299.php

I've always appreciated him bringing back NFL Football to Houston. Just wish they could have won a Super Bowl for him before he passed. Despite what some may think I always thought Bob McNair was one of the more classy owners in the league and he was certainly more classy than ol Bud and Jerrah! Houston was lucky to have him as an owner.

Rest in peace Bob!

RIP....I don’t think many folks will really appreciate what this guy did until this team wins its 1st championship. Listening to David Carr on NFL network...they were interviewing him as he was the franchise’s first ever pick.....said this dude went bankrupt trying to bringing football back to Houston....didn’t know that. Hearing it though..makes me appreciate him, the franchise and what he did even more.

Mr McNair held the organization to a high standard and a level of integrity that he wanted this team to be known for. I’m proud to say the Texans are my team and it’s because of Mr McNair that any of us can make that statement. Win this one out boys and make his legacy complete!

Thank you sir for your gift to Houston.

I am thankful for Bob McNair. As frustrating as it sometimes is to be a fan of this franchise, I am glad that Houston has a football team that we can support no matter what walks of life we come from.

Prayers for his family. For this to come right after Thanksgiving must make it hurt even more for them.

He was a generous and decent man, and he won't receive nearly the recognition he deserves due to a media that has been callously unfair to him.

If you don't have three hours to spare, watching at least 20 minutes of this is a nice jog down memory lane and an adequate reminder of what he did for Houston.

This is par for the course for him though. A lot of owners demand to be front and center of their organizations, but for a guy who owned a football team I always thought he tried to avoid the bright lights. Yet another thing I admired about him. Thanks for bringing football back home and rest in peace.

I posted other thread but want add here; hope it isn't thought to be inconsiderate; this could be something to help team going forward. Regardless of whom player may be all should want to come together for McNairs and Houston using this as another motivator. If timing is wrong I apologise to any offended.
