I love Reggie, But is the Best RB coming out?

Don't get me wrong, the kid has some impressive stats, but is the best rb coming out? The more I look at tapes the more I am leaning on Deangelo Williams, RB - Memphis as the stud coming out of college.

Would like to hear your opinions. And wasn't another Heisman winner like Reggie that didn't amount to much in the NFL by the name of Desmond Howard? I can't remember if he won a Heisman for sure, but it sure sounds right to me.

I think Williams will have a better career as a runner. Bush might be better beause of his catching ability.

Well considering that Reggie had comparable rushing statistics while splitting time with another big time back, I would have to say that he is better than DeAngelo Williams. Not to mention also that DeAngelo doesn't have anywhere near the receiving ability that Reggie does

Williams is the better pure RB hands down IMO. But its reggies versatility that makes him the better player. If Reggie was just a runner with no skills as a receiver or return ability, I dont think we would be talking about him as the first pick, but he would still be the first back taken.

Reggie can affect the game even when he doesn't have the ball. He can be used as a decoy. I think when we have him along side DD, it will open up big play opurtunites for Andre Johnson.

apparently pete carroll missed that memo

Pete actually used him as a decoy effectively for most of the game. I believe he probably panicked at the end of the game because he saw the game slipping away from him and started his series of brain farts. The first was not having Reggie in the game on the 4th and 2 play, the next was not having a spy on Vince on the 4th and 5 play, and the final one was calling his final timeout because he didn't realize that Texas was going for 2.

Very few people know about DeAngelo. He is acctually a very good receiver, much like DD. He is also a more patient runner then Reggie, he is good between the tackles with decent break away speed. He is the best running back in the draft, and I think that he will have the best NFL career. He is also on a below average Memphis team and consitently faced 8 and 9 man fronts, keep that in mind, hell, with the Texans he would have more weapons around him then on Memphis, as opposed to Reggie, who will have fewer playmakers around him with the Texans then on USC.

IMO, I think Carroll's first mistake was when he went conservative on that 3 and 7 play. Matt Leinart was hot that half, and all they had to do was let him convert that third down and that ball game would have been over. I think that if they would have lined Bush out in the slot with Jarret and Smith out wide, and left Lendale in the backfield. Texas wouldn't have had a clue who was getting the ball nor who to key on. But instead they got in a jumbo set on third and long and handed the ball off to Lendale for gain of 5, then turned right back around and got into the same formation and handed him the ball again.

In the words of Stephen A Smith, "That was just a rediculous call, it's pospoporous!!!"

You are correct i love bush but i think deangelo is a stud. and the best RB coming out:spy:

Reggie has top 5 hands in this draft....when he's not in the backfield, he may be the best WR on the Texans squad. Andre still has a ways to go with the hands...hopefully, this year we get to see him catch something other than the hitch.
