man these games are a complete bore they have to change the rules these games now go slower then the last 2 mins of a NBA game

Wish they would just adapt all the NFL rules the NFL would love it, the TV stations would love it, the players would love it, hell everyone would, these games are unwatchable unless you have a interest in one of the teams playing

I am with you Huge!!

To me, there is nothing in this world comparable to college football. I mainly watch the Texans in the NFL...but I can watch ANYONE play college football. There is just something special about it! I pray it NEVER becomes like the pros!

College football is great the way it is! I caught the second 1/2 of the miami game and then watched the bsu-osu game...plenty of excitement. Like LHB, I enjoy watching ANY college football game.

Hallelujah, sister!

The NFL is a business. All the players are financially secure and some are obscenely overpaid. Players switch teams (and loyalties) when bigger money beckons. The fans are, for the most part, made hardened and cynical by the avariciousness of it all.

In college the vast majority of the players are struggling financially, some are walk-ons without even a scholarship. Most of them are aware that they'd better get their degree because the odds are they won't make it to the NFL. They play for their school and their fans and they play their hearts out.

I love game day in Fresno, joining the tens of thousands clogging Bulldog Lane in our red shirts and hats, working our way to Jim Sweeney Field past the tailgaters - it's about more than the game; it's about the community coming together to cheer for OUR team. The atmosphere is electric.

The NFL games I've been to have never matched that type of warm intensity. To be sure, that's where you'll find football played at its highest level and the intensity is there, but it's a cold intensity that can never, for myself at least, match the aura of college football.

I like watching college football too, but I didn't use to like it that much a few years ago. However, I've seen some pretty ugly college games already this weekend and this week in general. For example, the Nebraska vs. S.Mississippi game was horrible to watch with one turnover after the other over and over again. Right now I'm watching the Colorado and Washington State and that game isn't pretty either. Miami and Florida State was really ugly in the beginning but got really good towards the end and I enjoyed the end of the game. In general, the start of the college football season has been marred by mistakes by teams, they just don't seem focused and ready to go. Maybe it's just that most of these games are the first games of the season for teams and they are not fully ready to go yet. I'll keep watching though..I feel sorry for the UH vs. Oklahoma that should be a massive slaughter...sheesh..good luck!

College football does have a lot of turnovers occasionally. But it's no different from the NFL.

Didn't the Miami Dolphins' QBs combine for 3 INTs today?

Whats making me mad is these little pretty boy calls. Like last night at the FSU vs Miami game. A DE litteraly touched the qb, not even enough to move him and it was f15 yards (can you tell im alittle upset about the result). And watching my Aggies play, they called a great punt return back because the snapper was knocked over, even though he had to time look up to block. Just let the guys play, some of these calls are just so stupid. I can understand to protect them but these calls arnt even worth it. O well i guess, just wanted to see what the minds on the board thought.

Some of my all-time favorite football days were when I lived in a College town. Game day was special hanging around the Grove in Oxford waiting for the Ole Miss game to start. There is a different feel to a College game on campus and you really feel like you are a part of something bigger. In the NFL you don't get that same feeling. I'm a bigger fan of the NFL but the level of play in College is outstanding. There is no pre-season so the early games may be a little sloppy but I'm a football junkie and I can't find anything to complain about the College game at all except that I don't like their overtime format.

well my complaints go long against College football

BCS
5 hour games
no team i care about
the minor league quality
the make your own schedule aspect
the gaps between the haves and have nots
the fact that 70-12 is something you see every week
the list goes on for me but hey yall got ties to teams its why yall may like it so much But Michigans season is basically over they are now playing to finish out the string and make there school tuns of money how can you like that?

BCS - Agreed. Until there's a playoff, it will suck. But Div-1A is the only level affected by this. Div-1AA, Div-1AAA, Div-II, Div-III do not go by the BCS. Are they not college football?

5 hour games - College plays 15 minute qtrs...just like the pros.

no team i care about - We may have a root of your problem. Or do you just not appreciate football? I can watch two teams I have zero interest in play, regardless of what level it's on, and be entertained. But I like football.

the minor league quality - Yeah, the pros look much better.

the make your own schedule aspect - You make your own non-conference schedule...you always play the teams in your conference (much like the pros). More times than not, creampuffs are scheduled. But having the opportunity to schedule teams that make for interesting match-ups (I'll use Arkansas and Texas as an example) is a plus college football has over the NFL...not the other way around.

the gaps between the haves and have nots - The NFL was no different before free agency came along and parity sat in. Before yesterday, Michigan was one of the "haves"...Notre Dame was a "have not". See the result of that game?

the fact that 70-12 is something you see every week - How does "minor league quality" put up 70 points?

the list goes on for me but hey yall got ties to teams its why yall may like it so much But Michigans season is basically over they are now playing to finish out the string and make there school tuns of money how can you like that? - Makes no sense.

As guy who loves football, there were some brutal games on television yeasterday, so if that inspired the list then I understand.

some the things that you hate are things that i like, but that comes to person preference so i am not going to pick that post apart.

BTW, the no team you care about is the biggest hurdle to you enjoying college football.

I am with Kimberly on this one. I hope this was just a bad day with my Cornhuskers or it is going to be a very long season.
