Reggie Bush weigh in at 201

He looked like a speicemen, dude is cut beyond belief.

In his interview he said he hoped to play around 205, I'm just not so sure where he can gain the next five pounds; casue I don't think he can put it on his upperbody. Was good in his interview also.

Pro day is April 2, till then Reggie Bush is done expcet for the Wonderlic, and the interviews.

D'Brick came in at 6'6" and I think 298.

"I know there's no state income tax in Texas, and that's pretty important to me all of a sudden."

He's smart, too!* ;)

I look forward to seeing him play, regardless of what team he ends up on. Dude has got mad skills and potential, and if it translates in the NFL, he'll be fun to watch.

*not to say that any other player is not smart, but we're only talking Reggie in this thread.

D'Brick came in at 311-312 :homer:

In 39 college games, Bush compiled 6,746 all-purpose yards. He scored touchdowns rushing, receiving, throwing and on both punt and kickoff returns.

This guy does everything but give birth to babies...........pick the guy Houston!!

Weight isn't bad. More weight might be "ideal," but 5'11" 200 is a very playable weight. Hopefully he will be able to avoid taking shots (part of what made Sanders so good: he always minimized contact and was rarely lit off his feet.) Still, I doubt Bush will add to that. Keeping weight on is difficult during the season simply because of the cardio/calorie burning involved, and he has likely been working out like a madman to this point. With his body type, I am saying it is very unlikely he will hit 205.

I wont get mad if we get this dude. If he has put this kind of work into getting drafted by us, let's just do it.

it's what's in the legs that matter. A lot of guys can bulk up their chest, but that's not where you play football. You've got to get the base and trunk solid to be a powerful runner. Hopefully, he's just doing this as a quick fix for the scales (and critics) and will committ to building his lower body over the next few months...

I think he knows what he is doing. He knows his body better than anyone else and he is surrounding himself with knowledgeable people.

I'm pretty sure you're right. He probably have been getting all of the knowledge he could during this pass season on taking care of his body and the expectations of the next level.

5'11 200 is not that bad. Tiki is 5'10 200 and has had no problems with durability.
Absolutely. If D-Rob can be what he is at < 175, I got no problems with
Reggie at 200. And since he's not 21 until next month, good chance he'll
add some weight to what he is now.

I believe that he has been working with a nutrionist and personal trainer, not to mention the input that he will be getting from LaDainian Tomlinson. He isn't going to pull a David Boston and bulk up 30 pounds more than his body can hold.

I like the fact he knows about the state income tax or lack there of.

What was his major?

I'm not against taking him. But then again I'm for taking just about anything at this point. We need the help.

Agreed. Out of all of our options, I like Vince the least, but in all I have seen, the guy is still a stand-up QB, a proven winner and most important I think he will be dedicated to improving his game, and he should be good and possibly even great in the League. I am only in favor of passing on the guy because we have Carr (who is at minimum decent) and I believe we can accomplish a lot more using the pick elsewhere, hopefully a trade down that will allow us to fill 2-3 positions with top-tier talent.

If the "worst" we can do is Vince, how do we lose?

D'Brick has been heavily criticized for his lack of size and added 15 pounds to bring him to 6'6" 312 in about a month. The fact that D'Brick is improving upon his flaws with this much ease is starting to scare me. His "lack of a mean streak" was criticized during Mobile and he quieted people there too.

NCAA | Ferguson measures in
Thu, 23 Feb 2006 11:48:12 -0800

During his NFL Combine interview, Virginia OT D'Brickashaw Ferguson said he measured in with a height of 6-6. As previously reported, Ferguson did gain 14 pounds since the Senior Bowl, which would put his weight at 312 pounds.

he looked fat to me... not at all what I expected...

Gean-Gilles (sp?) was right after him and he IS a big guy...

he made Ferguson look tubby and awkward... mainly like he was only worried about his weight and not his athleticness, if that is the right word

from what I saw yesterday and today I would rather have the little Ferguson of the Senior Bowl hype than this guy...

then again how many tackles took as many snaps as Pettitti did this year

he looked like a fat tub this time last year

Yes, he may soon prove himself to be worth our #1 pick, and he may not be available if we trade down at all.

D'brick weighed in at 312, but looks like he only gained the weight to quite the critics. I expect him to be back around 295 for testing and playing. He is dedicated enough to gain 14 pounds in 3 weeks or so.
