A Draft Project

BlueThunder

Waterboy
#1 RB Reggie Bush is he a RB WR or just a situational player.Has never carried the load as an every down back.

#33 LT Eric Winston Needs a lot of work in the weight room and to get to the NFL level.

#65 WR Reggie McNeil is he a QB or a WR at the next level.Theres no dening he's the most talented player on the Aggies team..6'1 204 4.32/40 is nothing to shake a stick at.

#66 CB/WR/KR Devin Hester  He could be a relative of our first pick and a really good backup to him.Just kidding.Sorry Bush Fans, dunk!

#97 WR/TE Anthony Mix May be neither but sure is a big target to miss.

#129 OT Jami Hightower They keep saying he's a guard at the next level but all he's played is LT.All I can say is Jamie has a chance to play in this league but he better come to the combine ready or he'll slip right out the back of the draft.

#160 OLB Erik Ingram He can cover and has 4 or 5 picks this year,,.Why is he always out of position from his assignment when he makes one:superman: :spy:

#190 QB Brodie Croyle,,This guy has a little talent if he would have ever got the chance..He'll be a deer in the headlights in the NFL,poor kid!

This is 15 minutes work I will tune it up if I can think of any better projects I mean prospects!Everyone, has probowl potental:fishing:

brodie croyle is suppossed to go in the second round, maybe to a team like the cowboys or dolphins, and he has a pretty good chance of starting in the next few years if he goes to one of those teams. i mean he has a chance of slipping to the 3rd but im pretty certain he wont be around at pick 190:ok:

I wonder what college you root for Reggie in the third and Jami Hightower didn't even start for his team sat behind a redshirt frosh. Not to metion he is about 360lbs.

I guess thats why He called them "projects"

Croyle isnt really a project. He will take the usual year or so to develop that most take, VY is much more of a project than Croyle. Jacobs and Lienhert are the most NFL ready. Croyle has great arm strength, can scramble, is very accurate, and before his injury was touted as a first rounder. He is not project. In fact, he is my second sleeper at QB in this draft right behind Jacobs.

This is an assinine post. Croyle will take the usual year or so....are you serious!!!:woot2
So what kinda developement plan is Carr on?????
VY is much more of a project than Croyle is?????:confused:Are you serious.
Croyle is your second sleeper??? Who the heck are you Mel Kiper jr.II. So now you got my interest peaked, who's your first sleeper? And let me guess, he'll only take a year or so to develope as well and will be more polished than VY.

Read your posts before you submit to make sure they're believeable. Croyle .....HA.....a year or so.....stop it, you're killing me.

Every single post of yours that I read finds a way to dog Carr. He's going to be here at least a little bit longer so you might as well give it a rest.

Also, unrelated, what part of Spring are you from?

I said in my post that he was my second sleeper behind Omar Jacobs. Read MY post before you critique them. Omar Jacobs has an NFL arm, makes all his reads, is accurate, doesn't force the ball, put up numbers (your likely argument for Young), and has proven to be a sucessful leader on his team. I would draft Jacobs over Young if I needed a QB quickly.

Croyle is more NFL ready than Young. He is not the natural freak Young is, but he has a better arm, has good lateral movement. If you think VY will take any less than 3 years to fully develop then your post are assinine. That is as much about that as I will say.

Carr was never on a plan. He was thrown to the wolves. VY will be thrown to the wolves if we go the route I'm assuming you want to take. Carr has shown the potential when given the control of the game. Carr is developed fine, he may be slightly gun-shy now, but he is much more developed than VY, and he was more developed coming out of college than VY is right now.

So read MY post before you say something again, son.

After reading through your post yet again, I still can not help but laugh.

Heres to you. :tv: :bomb:

I don't really care how developed Vince Young is.If he's not at the top of his game then were getting ready to have one heck of a QB.All this talk about developement is a joke. You can do anything you want on defense but Vince is going dictate the way you play.I hope we draft him because if we do it will punk the division.Trust me,Vinny has something that you can't evaluate, because when he wants to win noone has ever found a way to stop him.If we draft him,he will take the QB job or Carr wil absulutly be on fire.Young will find a way to move the chains and until he's stopped,he's number one.Ive seen him take over to many games and win them on his own.You guys are going to make a big mistake if you don't draft him.Just get the ball in in his hands and we have a chance. The guy is like 6'5" 240 and runs a 4.3.I havben't seen anyone catch him from behind. When he get them long legs going he's gone,he has highway gears. He runs over 250 pound DEs and makes them look stupid. He has great vision and you seldem get a clean shot on him and arm tackles don't work.Vince Young runs like a TB and looks like one doing it.I never seen him get hurt running.I bet he could carry the ball 20 times a game,,,oh yes,,he already does run about 20 times a game.Well that is if he don't have anyone open or needs to win :trophy:They put pics up of him on the ground holding his helmet but look who.s king of college football,VINCE YOUNG hands down. He's a corn fed Houstonite,Texan all the way thru,,If you draft Reggie Bush,You better teach him how to throw the football.Vince is the double edge sword!Vince Young is a dangerious weapon also. You better contain him but he will throw it,,Its going to be a nightmare for DCs..So you better get some more coaches if you don't draft him,or you'll all be looking for work in 2 years..We can contain Bush in a bubble but Vince can strike anywhere.Ask Pete Carrol who he would hate to have to go against twice a year....

Umm...I'm confused. Am I completely off my rocker? Didn't you start this thread? And didn't you draft Reggie Bush with the first pick? So you start a thread about draft prospects, pick RB, and then praise Vince Young. It's late, and I might be delusional. Can someone check and make sure that I'm not going crazy. Did the person who started this thread by picking Reggie Bush just praise Vince Young and say its a mistake to pass on him.

Wow. I am really confused.

This is all projects in this draft..I did a whole draft of projects..I wouldn't draft Reggie Bush,I would draft Hester in round three if I wanted a 3drb,KR.Who was that runner the Panthers drafted,,,hurt his whole career..I ain't say Bush that will be Bush but there going to try to loosen him up.LBers won't make a very good living with Bush in the backfield. He has talent but there other runners just as dangerious. He has speed but he's small.

I didn't watch a lot of college ball ...but I saw some highlights of this safety named Slay ...from Texas Tech I think. And a Tight End ...Vernon Davis ...off tha chain. Where are they projected?

Vernon Davis has been talked about as a first round guy..I guess somewhere in the 20s most likely? Slay I wouldn't expect until the 2nd day at the earliest, maybe 4th-5th round or so. But I haven't really followed the draft as closely this year so I'm sure some draftniks will have a better projection.

Vernen Davis is any where in the first, mostlikely top 10.Slay will go day 2 mostlikely 5 to seventh..He could slip in the 3rd but the Combine will tell the story with him. He's ranked about number 7 safety.I found a flaw in something about Slay,I can't remember what it was but i'll look later and try to find it.Vernan should go to Cleveland if he makes it that far. They would be the fool to pass him up..He's the best TE i've seen ten year coming out of college and i'm not kidding.Hes solid all the way around,a complete TE.If he hits that 40 mark, wow!

Yes but he's a bust.He had that wreck and I wouldn't hold my breath or my team back waiting on any player..They need to move on and if he comes around showcase him and trade him.The TE is as important as LT to a offense. Winslow will come around just in time to get another big paycheck and then he'll be back doing his stupid ****!He's already started talking about straighting up....lmao

Hank Baskett WR from New Mexico
Very interesting prospect. No clue where he will get drafted but he seems like a very nice pick up. Big, Strong, high jumping champion, almost built like a tight end.

Anyone have an opinion on this guy? I never saw him play, I just read about him. Would love to hear the opinion of people that know more than I do about him.

I really don't know to much for sure, but from what i've seen and his Senior bowl outing I figure the second day.Mostlikely 5 to seventh for a team reaching for a possesson receiver. The combine could hurt him even more then the bowl. When you have players like Derek Haggan that are falling to the end of the first day things don't look good for Baskett.

Vince doesn't run a 4.3, he is more like a 4.45, and that's not going to run away from anyone. Every team in the NFL has a couple LBs that fast, and how is Vince supposed to run away from everyone with his 4.45 while Bush and his 4.28-4.32 is going to be contained by everyone?

Why would Cleveland take Davis when they just got Kellen Winslow two years ago?

So they can be like the Lions and draft Offensive weapons over and over and over. :ok:

Seriously, I don't think Cleveland would take another TE and pay them top 10 money. This draft is deep at Defense. I could see them try to add to thier defense.

Who knows what Vince Youngs real 40 time is..I've seen him turn the corner and out run whole teams.

As for Bush 4.32 speed he will be a threat but if you bring up a safety or play large fronts he'll never get to the open field to do anything. You can't do that Vince because he will kill you with his TEs or speed receiver.

I just think the Browns are better off getting another TE.Winslow is a bust and a cancer. When he first got there he held out and then wasn't prepared and got injured.I think he will try to come back and get a new contract and hurt the team again.Winslow is a me player..

If it looks like, plays like it,then it mostlikely is.

It is a pretty solid bet that Cleveland will not go TE. Winslow will possibly be back and Heiden played well last season. They will likely look at Greenway or Manny Lawson to help bolster that 34 defense. They could also use a Corner so if Jimmy Williams is available he is an option here also.

Yes,I forgot about TE Steve Heiden. He does look like he's starting to come around.I guess I may have to give this one to you guys. All the better for us though.
