Foreman Arrested For Weed and Gun

On a side note...the comment section in that article is extremely embarrassing and wrong.

This is what happens when kids go back to campus. Your college career is over D'Onta.. time to put the toys away. Hopefully this will just be a learning experience for him and not a sign of things to come.

The NFL has almost conceded the grass.. you have to be stupid as hell to be suspended for Marijuana now. Might as well call it the Ricky Williams rule. The NFL doesn't want to keep suspending players for smoking grass, especially when it's becoming illegal in a lot of states.

Now the weapons charge..I don't know about that.
 
Now here's a question... was the weapons charge because he didn't have a CHL or because he wasn't supposed to have a firearm on campus?

Chalk this up to "nothing good happens after midnight" A lesson I eventually had to learn (God knows how many potholes I've paid to repair around the city or how many city bills I've paid).

Its just pot...not like he was high on crack. I would guess well over 50% of NFL players smoke. I concede the unregistered gun is not too bright

I'll believe the conclusion after full investigation..........not the word of his attorney. Could this be his helpful "posse"? Hope he doesn't find the need to keep returning to "college" as did Manziel.

21 yoa star running back for University of Texas has been told how great he is since high school or younger; facing life in NFL. Like most his age (and many including me) doesn't see marijuana as a crime. His possession or another's no big deal to him plus he just doesn't think he will be caught especially on the hero home ground. No he doesn't think to avoid such scenarios. Will he in future is the question in my mind.

The arresting officer’s probable cause affidavit reads in part:

As I approached the vehicle I detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. I also found the front seat passenger, Laurence Jones had a handgun laying on his lap. remember me posting on this? It was left tackle Alabama star Cam Robinson arrested in May 2016 for very similar charges (Foreman was on campus)that were dropped.

I don't think this is a huge deal though in the grand scheme of his career unless he doesn't mature and learn from it.

Officers may not have searched his vehicle if there weren't three vehicles there.

While marijuana is (finally) getting a lot of leeway thanks to sheriffs, judges and other officials - it's still actually illegal. Heck it's actually still illegal everywhere - last I checked there were a few national laws that trump what states have decided (which is bogus to me, but a very different discussion). Dude seems to have taken Cris Carter's advice with fall guys, but it takes a special kinds of stupid to get arrested like this within a month of signing a multi-million dollar contract.

Facts are our new runningback was arrested at 3am with a significant amount of pot and a visable handgun. Do the when, why and how really matter? That's very stupid for a kid who just signed into the NFL - I'm not a fan of stupid players. I didn't say anything about stupid or not... the only facts are that he was arrested to the best of my knowledge. Being arrested if far from being guilty. Or do you live in some type of etopia where justice is what ever happens? 3 cars and numerous people all of which are his 'fall guys'? Never the over-zealous LEO? Circumstances don't matter?

I'm glad I didn't grow up in your world where you're guilty until proved innocent
