A LOT different than most mock's Ive seen...

I agree VY won't fall that far, but I can see him falling out of the top 4 very easily.

As for the rest, seems logical.

While I think that Mangold is good, I don't think that he is a 1st rounder. But I thought that about Chris Spencer last year.

Last years mocks had Rogers going to SF for the longest time. Yet in the last week heading into the draft it changed to Smith and rogers fell all the way to the GB Pack.
Draft Daddy is a free site and has been way off the past few years.
They basically take all the info from the other pay sites as well as mix in their opinion.
Mocks in the past had Harrington ahead of Carr and Leaf ahead of Manning and Rivers ahead of Manning (Eli).
It's too early to tell if a projected top 3 guy will fall to #10.

It is funny.

I think a lot of the draft position stuff has nothing to do with the players involved and everything to do with players already drafted.

Is Leinart as well regarded if Carson Palmer didn't do so well quickly in his career? I am not sure that they are equivalent players, but in the shorthand of the draft, they are.

Mike Vick was the first pick in the draft a few years ago. Because of their relative gifts, some people compare Vick to VY, though Young is a much better QB prospect, and has better throwing and running stats than Vick's college stats. Does Young get more love if Vick had an up year this year?

Does Bush get put as #1 on most draft boards if the Texans top dogs hadn't already repeatedly expressed their confidence in Carr? (while notably not saying much at all about DD).

I like Cutler more than many, but I am guessing from a hype perspective that if Jets take QB at 4, and Vince is on the board and they don't take him, all might not be fun in Jets land. The booing heard at the NYC draft deal would make the McNabb over Ricky sound like nothing.

This mock seems almost an attempt to predict an Aaron Rodgers. Even if you don't accept that VY will be a good player in the league, you have to imagine that there is some club out there that would want VY for the upside + the publicity and hype and would reach up and get him. I can't see him going by Oakland for that reason.

anyone know the deal with this (comments section)?

Strengths: Great size. Strong arm. Good team leader on the field. Well above average runner for a quarterback.

Weaknesses: Could improve accuracy. Not fundamentally sound. Throwing technique is awkward. Motion is similar to Bernie Kosar's. Makes plays look easy in college, but has a long way to go to be able to handle an NFL offense against NFL defenses.

Comments: Really should have stayed for another year in college. Whoever drafts him must have another guy ready to start because Young has a lot to improve before he's ready to step onto an NFL field. He will have to dedicate himself to learning the position of quarterback, right now he is nothing more than a gifted athlete with the potential to become a star quarterback. Some character concerns may linger from his troubled past when he was involved in a gang.
