Alright! Congrats Warren Moon! :thumbup I honestly thought they would make him wait. But the football gods must be smiling today.

Interesting that the maximum number of players are going to be inducted. That's cool.
 
Wow, Moon a first ballot man. I am stunned. I didn't think he got the recognition nationally that he deserved.
 
Glad to see it. Some of my favorite memories as a kid was going to the Astrodome with my father and watch Warren play QB for the Oilers. Congratulations Warren!
 
Just wanted to say congrats to Moon for his election to the Hall of Fame. As an avid Oiler fan, I lived and died with the teams ups and downs. He never got us to the Super Bowl, but he was one heck of a QB nonetheless. So here's to you, Mr. Moon. Thanks for all the memories.

Did anyone realize there just might be a REAL reason WM never got the Oilers to the SB????????????? Geeeezzzzz, you people are so eat up with STATS you have completely overlooked the moral and ethical side of a player. His nomination made me shutter, his induction makes me want to puke.
 
Props to Warren Moon he deserved it.................I still think Thomas should've been in on the first ballot though.
 
Congrats to Warren... I find it funny that people talk about him not getting to the Super Bowl, yet if I recall.. he had good games when the Oilers lost. It wasn't like he choked.
 
Somewhat curiously, the Titans home page only has a little blurb headline linking the story while the Texans home page has a full color photo of Moon and the story.

I second that Wolf. It was the D that choked, never the less Warren got tarred with the same brush of failure as the defense did. But in the end he succeeded at the highest level - congratulations Warren ! Thanks for the memories.

Is there an actual accusation coming, or are we just going to get repeated innuendo?

This isn't baseball, so morals and ethics don't mean squat. The voters weren't allowed to consider Moon's NFL Man of the Year award or any other character evidence.
 
Congrats to Moon, White, Madden and Carson. Big thumbs up to AIKMAN and WRIGHT for the ultimate recognition for such an AWESOME career.:yahoo:

I've heard the various stories about Moon, but none of them have been substantiated, AFAIK.

However, ever wonder how many Hall of Fame football players are pure as the driven snow? I'd venture to say that most young men with tons of money will get into things they might regret later in life. Boys can be mischievous that way. :spy:

Of course they can't be substantiated!! The truth will never be known about what really went on back in those days. It just simply boils down to whether you want to believe the rumors or not. I believed them based on what I saw. I've posted before, somewhere:rolleyes: , that I'm sure he is not the only "shady" character that has been inducted into the Hall. I can deal with it. I just won't be going to Canton this summer!!:) I won't be a phoney either and sing his praises just because of his stats. He failed in his job to take the Oilers to the SB. Whether he was paid to fail or not, only WM and his bookies know the answer to that.
