What THREE changes would you make to improve this team next year.
#1 Pass protection. (If this isn't on your list you haven't been paying attention).
I think we need to upgrade TWO players on this O-line. It doesn't have to be high priced talent but it needs to be talent. Most importantly I think the coaching needs to instill a new attitude and a totally new mentality in our O-line.
#2 A Well rounded Tight End.
I would like to see a big, fast, athletic, tight end. One who can block well and make key pass reception. Most importantly we need a guy who will open up the middle and make it a little easier for our Wide Recievers to get seperation. I feel with the right player not only will the Tight End have good numbers but he will make the rest of the recieving core that much better.
#3 An Effective Pass rush. We have done a very poor job of getting to the opposing team's QB. We need a pass rushing DE or a LB that can wreak havoc and make the opposing team's QB sweat.
I would have put a coaching change on this list but thanks to Mr. McNair that is already done. A hybrid 4-3 / 3-4 defense is going to be interesting and it will be fun to see a new Offensive playbook that doesn't focus on keeping it close, and to see a defense that isn't focus on bending but not breaking.
I intentionally didn't list specific players names because I think it is irrelevant. We need certain jobs done, and we need the right players to do those jobs. Who they are dosen't matter to me as long as they get the job done.
This should be a fun offseason.
