Draft starts with Kubiak

Wow, harsh on ole Dom

Draft clock now ticking for Kubiak

Wonder if Dom Capers still loves Jason Babin? Does he love him to the tune of a fourth-round draft choice?

While Charley Casserly has Dom on the phone to discuss Babin, he should casually mention that Morlon Greenwood, Gary Walker and Phillip Buchanon can also be had. Package all three for a fifth-round pick and a shipment of stone crabs.

What's that, Dom? Only a sixth-round pick for three NFL starters? You drive a hard bargain, Coach, but you've caught us feeling charitable.

Capers wanted those four players when he was the Texans' head coach. They're part of his legacy. He'll surely want them around as he settles into his new job as defensive coordinator of the Miami Dolphins.

Id be surprised if ANY team considering Young thought he should start his first season. From what I have seen..he isnt ready to start in the pros yet.

Young has played in more pressure games than Carr. He has thrived on the big stage. He's better than Carr today and probably always will be.
Richard Justice is UT alum? What a homer! Someone needs to send him back to Austin where he can go write for the Stateman.

Certainly, the worm who has been leaking the "it's going to be Reggie" gossip from inside the building doesn't know.
I love this quote. That's my new name for Casserly "The Worm". It is so fitting for that guy.

I'm sick of Justice. He'll sell out anyone to gain a few more supporters from the more popular side. He did it between Bush/Young and he's doing it from Capers/Kubiak.

I agree, he has been pushing Bush from day one. The guy needs to give it up and let the team do what their going to do.

Buchanon is the only player out of those 4 I would consider unloading. Babin was starting to light it up at the end of last season, Greenwood I would like to see for one more full season, especially under a new DC, and Gary Walker? Is this guy kidding?

Honestly if Miami came with an offer for Babin and P-burnt I send them packing it will cost them at least a 4th rounder just to start talking and I would hope for a 3rd and we call it a day, but that is unlikely. Miami got rid of Greenwood why would they bring back someone that they would not pay to keep. Gary show that old TAMU pride in the draft and go after guys like Slocum of old. We will have a good draft, It is what I keep telling myself.

Babin and Buch for a 3rd? Babin is only entering his 3rd year, had a good rookie season, and started heating up at the end of this past season.

So let me see, its Carr's fault that he hasn't taken the Texans to a championship game to show off his skills in that arena. Unlike Texas, which
plays in a weak college conference and has several strictly token non conference opponents each year to pad its record, there is not easy path
to the big show in the NFL (accept if you play in the NFC West Division).
It will be so nice when they pick up Carrs option and all the UT homers like
Justice can begin practicing a chant like "Go Titans", "Go Jets", etc. Whatever.

Sorry 279 I dont see your point you think Babin is worth more or you dont want to see him go. I need more of an explanation.

Babin was a first round draft pick, there is no way after only two years we give up on him for a 4th. Much like Carr, we dont know what we have in Babin. Is he the player that light up the 9ers O-Line on the last game of the season, or the guy who took more then halfway through the season to reach his 2nd sack and had to sit out much of the season with a mysterious injury. Right now, he is one of the most undervalued players on our D, last I checked he is the only player we have with the experiance and size to be an everydown DE in the NFL on our roster...

Yeah, like playing wimpy Ohio State at Ohio State, during a night game nontheless where Ohio State had never lost before. What a bunch of losers. They should be scheduling powerhouses like The Citadel or Army.

I think the Ohio State game paid dividends throughout the season. The Horns gained a huge amount of momentum and confidence. I think that game also helped them in their come from behind victory in the Rose Bowl. They knew they could come back on a quality team, because the had done it before.

All that being said, I think Texas was better in the Rose Bowl than against Ohio State. You could see they had grown throughout the season.

p.s. I'm a Buckeye.

Sorry bud, not a Longhorn. Just call it like I see it. I went to University of Delaware. Neither your Horns or your Aggies are courageous enough to schedule the mighty Blue Hens! 2003 NCAA National Champs!

But hey, if it is a rule on this board that you MUST be for choosing QB's from your school then I am in. Dump Carr, sign Rich Gannon the mighty Hen!
